I went back at 12 weeks and DS was still exclusively on breast milk. I am lucky to have my own office, and I stuck a mini fridge in there to store pump parts and milk. At first I pumped at 10, 12 and 2 or 3. Some days I had to travel or had meetings and would have to adjust a bit, but my bosses were supportive. I used work time to pump. I am salaried, so while I did pump during lunch, I just closed my door when I needed to pump. I could usually listen to voicemail, read client files or do some other misc work once I got going.
I did have an issue with a couple of male coworkers who thought I was just surfing the net, and had to explain it to them and get their supervisor to help them understand. Overall it worked out well though.

While I was working, I pumped 2x a day, at 10:30 and 2:00. I nursed at 7:30 and as soon I got home. One session was my lunch break, and the other I worked using my phone (to edit, do emails, etc). . The general rule is to pump for every missed nursing session you'd normally have, but I found that since I only nurse one side at a time but pump both breasts at once, that I can go a little longer. The organization I worked for was so supportive- I was able to use a room that was only used once a week otherwise, and my boss was great. It can work!

I nurse right before work (at 7) but only from one side, so I pump pretty soon after getting to work (around 8:30). I then pump at approx 12 and 3, then leave work by 4:30 and get LO by 5:30. I have my own office so I just close the door and work while pumping, I have a hands-free bra and most of what I do is computer based. I keep my milk and pump parts in our communal fridge. My company hasn't really had to accommodate me in any way yet since I work while pumping and have my own office. But another woman in my building who doesn't have an office has been given a closet to use as her pump room.

When I went back to work, I pumped 5x/day. Before work, 3x at work and then before I went to bed. My office provided a closet (literally) with a chair that I could go in and pump. I would keep the milk in a cooler bag that came with my Medela Pump in Style, but if you have a fridge, that would probably be better. I only took one set of pump parts with me and just rinsed them really well after each pumping session.

At 8 weeks, I think I could go only about 3-4 hours before I would start hurting and need to pump again. As she got older, I could go longer and longer between sessions.

@MaisyMay: Hmmm, if there is some private space, like a closet, maybe you can take a break and pump and read or something? I hated to take an official 'break' because it meant I was gone longer. Is it possible for you to see the space at the other location before you go back so you can make a plan?

Also, pps talked about pump parts. I read somewhere that since breastmilk stays good at room temp for 8 hours, it is not necessary to wash your pump parts between sessions during the day. I have done this and it has made things much easier. I pump and throw the assemblies in a plastic bag, then just wash everything once I am home. I have not had a problem with this...
