@tinyperson: oh i didn't see this, i would have piped up! yes, how did the tour go? one thing that's come up for us in daycare is LO's naps, and my daycare's policy of not putting the baby in its crib until the baby has already fallen asleep (like, in the play area). this policy, which i believe is to prevent neglectful daycares from keeping babies in cribs all day long, does not work for LO since he is used to being put in his crib awake and putting himself to sleep.
but i think the most important thing about the daycare tour was just the feel you got from the place and the staff--how did you like it?

It was a great tour. Fantastic facilities, great parent information boards re schedules, events, etc., assigned cribs (so baby is in the same bed every day), outdoor facilities attached to the rooms, organic caterers. We're on the waiting list for this one, so we might have to start at the one we have a place in, but I think we might switch to this one when a space becomes available.

@edelweiss: the kicker is that it's cheaper than the one we've got a spot in, and we have to bring our own food there!
