DH and I are heading to check out a daycare this evening for DS. we are looking for part time care for 4 days a week or full time care for 2/3 days! DS will be 4 months old when he would be starting!

@cheert16: There have been a lot of threads on this, is there any unique about your situation? Any concerns you have or top priorities you are looking for?

It looks like you got some good advice from PP. My only thing to add, is make sure you are comfortable with where you are taking your LO. Make sure you are comfortable with the teachers, etc. I have walked into some daycares and had the gut feeling "heck no" and walked right out.

@lawbee11: Thanks! I was looking for this post and couldn't find it. I wonder why its not in the Daycare blog series list?

If your LO is still swaddled, ask if they can do that. The state changed the rules and now our's can't swaddle R, even though she is swaddled arms out.

@T.H.O.U.: @lawbee11: thanks ladies! I was on my phone and couldn't check through all of the posts! These were super helpful!!
@littlek: it was our first that we checked out and I really liked it- but we are going to look at a few more to do comparisons
@Smurfette: I actually remembered to ask this!! They can't swaddle unless there is a doctors note! (Ill make sure I get one!)

I would add, "Can you tell me who is going to be taking care of LO at each point during the day?" We just pulled Baby A from her day care because there were new "resource" teachers in her room every morning and they were constantly combining rooms/switching around teachers. We asked for a schedule, they gave us one, and never followed it. Her two primary teachers were almost always there, but occasionally one was in a different room. It was infuriating.
