L is starting at a Dayhome in the next week and a half. They do two snacks and lunch but not breakfast. Which is fine, it just means I have to pack him something.
What does/did your 1 year old eat for breakfast at daycare/home.
Right now we just do hot cereal and I need something thats going to be easy to pack?
Any advice, tips or suggestions welcome!

Yogurt and fresh fruit, mini bagel and cream cheese, peanut butter toast, mini pancakes, french toast sticks, eggs, waffle with nut butter and honey.

I make a batch of oatmeal muffins on Sundays and put some in mini muffin or bar form. I add pb, pumpkin, or bananas sometimes. We also do fruit or yogurt.

Pumpkin zucchini muffins (I made a huge batch and froze), oatmeal cupcakes, waffles, fruit and cottage cheese. She also loves the Trader Joes 'this blueberry walked into a bar' bars whenever we need something quick on the go.

He loves baked peach oatmeal (I make it ahead of time so it's ready to go in the AM), zucchini muffins sweetened with honey, blender blueberry waffles, peanut butter oatmeal, egg muffins with veggies, and of course, fruit. I usually serve a scrambled egg with his breakfast too but that would be harder to transport.

We do fruit and yogurt every am. I just mix in and bring a big tub on Tuesdays and it lasts him the 3 days he's there.

Hard boiled egg. DS usually eats daycare breakfast but I send egg that he eats every morning with it.

If I had to pack a breakfast I would do homemade pancakes, fruit, bacon or breakfast sausage, homemade muffins or scones. Since L is such a good eater, maybe you could do hardboiled eggs too (my son would never eat them!)? Otherwise, our daily breakfast is granola with milk or yogurt and fruit.

Ours ate at home before daycare. We made a lot of eggs. But, we also had peanut butter toast on days we were running behind. Also had pancakes and waffles in the freezer.

- Crepes (which is just an egg blended with a purée of pumpkin or applesauce and fried)

The easiest portable breakfast ever: get a couple of dozen eggs and mix them up. Divide them into a few bowls and add different things to each one. Cheese, mushrooms, spinach, peppers, tomatoes, onions, shredded carrots, zuchinni... you can do sweet ones with bananas, applesauce, pumpkin, etc.
Then you pour it into a muffin ton and bake.
They freeze well too.

@.twist.: we are creatures of habit (....or lazy) and send a plain wheat waffle and yogurt every day. She's starting to really like eggs though, so I think I'm going to try and make those egg muffin thingies

She's a year and a half now so she just does cereal and milk We started with shredded wheat since they are easy to pick up, and now she's into protein Cheerios. Before that we would do a waffle or frozen pancake. My LO does get a second breakfast at daycare though.

Things that you can make ahead and freeze are a good idea! Muffins and pancakes come to mind. Super portable, and you can sneak fruit and veggies in pretty easily Add some fruit and you're good to go!

@Sammyfab: Oh man. I know! It's so weird! I honestly thought I had so much time left and between planning his birthday and trying to get ready for work/school the time has seriously been slipping by! How does this happen!? I will def. try a hard boiled egg! He does like egg.
@seabsher: I wish we could do breakfast at home, but my husband and I both leave super early for work (before 7am!) and L doesn't eat until closer to 8am. Which could definitely change over the next little while, but I'll take it day by day.

@Bookish: I, too, am a creature of habit. I want to TRY and give him variety, but I can't promise it will last.
