I’m planning my hospital bag and need suggestions for pjs or comfy lounge wear! At home I’ve been sleeping in a T-shirt and undies but that won’t really work so I need to buy a few things. I have a comfy jersey robe but that’s about it.

Anything easy to open for breastfeeding if you plan to. Also because they come to check this and check that all the time so nothing that's really hard to take off/tight fitting.
I wore a robe over nursing tank/bra and yoga pants for both kids. For my 2nd b/c she was in NICU I asked someone to bring me a hoodie when I walked back & forth and also just wore that to go home.

With both kids I went to Pea In the Pod and bought myself a really nice set with a nursing nightgown and a matching jersey robe.

I have this nightgown in this and the shorter length, in 4 different colors, and it is my FAV right now. Super super comfy and soft, easy for post-birth, and easy to pull down for breastfeeding. I'm still rotating them nightly at 3.5 weeks pp and will probably just be my new night wardrobe.

I just wore the hospital gown on top most of the time (just easier for nursing, etc). For bottoms, I had some really soft, comfy, baggy capri pajama pants - like maternity with a super stretchy elasticy waist. This was perfect. Anything snug like yoga pants would have been a no-go for me.

I wore the hospital gown provided as I didn't want to get my clothing dirty. I did use a robe (Both my boys were summer babies) so that I could take walks and cover up.

I love American Eagle PJ pants. I wore them and a t-shirt the second time around and just lifted my shirt to breastfeed.

I wore my maternity leggings and a nursing tank in the hospital. All black to slightly hide any mess/stains. I also had a robe and one of DHs zip up sweatshirts for layering options.

@Jennibenni: I stayed in the hospital gowns they gave me. They are the most convenient thing to be in. I didnt have to worry about laundry, or taking my pants off each time I needed to be checked and they have snaps over the shoulder for easy breastfeeding.
I just brought in my own robes to wear over it

@Mae: these look amazing! Tempted for one of these for all the time

I wore Target's nursing tops with silk pj bottoms that I've had forever, as well as some VS boyfriend sweats, and a robe.
They check your stomach often, so I'd keep easy access to that.

I bought two front zippered nightgowns ala Gza Gza Gabore from Macy's. The nurses complimented me on my dresses. LOL. If there is a next time I'm wearing button down PJs in cool cotton and bringing a comfy shelf nursing bra.

oversized button down cotton mens pajamas from amazon (alexander del rossa), with a matching robe. i loved them so much, i bought 2 more pairs and still wear them all the time for lounging.

I couldn’t get out of the hospital clothes fast enough I picked up some nursing PJs and night gowns from motherhood maternity for my last 2 babies and wore those at night. During the day I wore a supportive nursing tank top (glamourmom) with leggings and drapey cardigans.

Last time I pretty much only wore the hospital gown but I think I’ll feel much better if I get out of that!
@Mae: That looks super comfy, I’m definitely grabbing one of those!

@Jennibenni: I went with black super soft loose pants, a nursing tank and a long cardigan or robe! I liked covering my bum so you wouldn't see the giant diaper/pad situation (haha) also the reason for the loose pants... and black, because, obvious.

I loved having a zip up duster robe at the hospital. Easy for nursing and checks. Yoga pants and zipper hoodie on the way home.

@birdofafeather: Can you post a link to the listing? I think that's a link to your transaction so it won't let me view it.

I got two of these and loved them for the hospital and maternity leave. Comfy enough to sleep in but nice enough to wear out too! I still wear them on lazy weekend days

I wore the hospital gown because I think hospitals are gross and didn't want to deal with all the grossness on my own stuff. Haha.
I know you can also get cheapish sweats and the like off amazon- I may do that and then wear a nursing tank or something like that.. not sure yet. I would definitely save the nicer stuff for home though, unless you think you'll have a lot of visitors!
