Did you rent or buy a breast pump? If you bought one, did you pump long enough to make it worthwhile? If you rented one, did you end up buying one later because it worked for you?
I'm considering renting when the baby is first here in case breast feeding doesn't work out...

I've been pumping 9 months so yes, the Freestyle was worth it for me. At $300, I had to use it for 6 months before it would have been better to rent ($50/month plus tubes, etc). Also, now I can keep it to use for the second baby.

I bought a Lansinoh double electric pump. I was nervous at first because its much cheaper than medela and ameda pumps, but so far its been a great pump and i get a good amount of milk from the pump.

I bought mine but only used it for 2 months! 300 bucks well spent! 
Haha. Will be using it again for #2 and beyond though. So all good.
