If you did this, did you use a faster flow nipple? R is almost 5m and our GI doc wants me to try this. He gets a bottle a day but still uses slow flow.

I tried it lots of different ways, it depends on the baby. But it would be helpful to have one on hand to see. He might be perfectly happy going slower on the current one though.

It was too thick for her to get it out of the slow flow, so we widened a few of the holes by hand - just stretched it out with a needle.

I went the next size up. I honestly can't remember how nipple sizing was. The fastest flow was always too fast, though.

Ours was too thick for regular nipples as well. We widened ours by hand with a needle.

We used Dr. Brown's y cut nipples.

Thanks! The slow flow nipple seemed too slow for him. Went with medium flow (3+ m) and while he drank it faster than he would typically, it was fine and he seemed content.
