I bet the mother (or father) who sent this in is having a tough time. I just wanted to share because it provoked me to send up a prayer for all parents who never got to meet their angel babies (including myself).

@CupQuakeWalk: that's heartbreaking. I don't even have a picture from my miscarriage in March. I doubt I'll get a picture from this pregnancy if I miscarry.

So incredibly sad. This image/caption really drives the sense of loss home

It is sad but I know the feeling.
I got an elective 3d/4d ultrasound of S because the birth center didn't do ultrasounds. I'm so very grateful that we did it. I have a dvd that is the onpy footage of her being alive. I never watch it but it's good for me to have it.

I asked for a picture of our baby when I found out I miscarried on Friday. I'm so glad I did, it's perfect. I bought a little memory box for it yesterday. My husband is a bit uncomfortable with the picture, I think, but it has brought me a lot of comfort. Thanks for sharing.

@travelgirl1: I am so sorry for your loss, but glad that you found a beautiful way to memorialize your baby. That sounds beautiful.
@Crystal: Same here, but I think that is what matters.

@sarac: huh, I didn't think of that. My mind just jumped to miscarriage. Some people are very private and don't share if they've had a miscarriage but it could be an abortion.

@sarac: ugh... I didn't see if that way at first, but now I think you're right.

@sarac: That was absolutely my first thought. I think it's the only time I've hoped someone had a miscarriage. Either way, poor mama and angel baby...

@sarac: same- because of the wording of the caption "that will" rather than "that was." Makes me feel sick to my stomach to think it

@sarac: @swedishfish: @CupQuakeWalk: @rattles: @erinpye: Obviously I don't know what happened but it could be that she miscarried and asked for a picture of the baby at the ultrasound that confirmed the miscarriage. That would explain the tense in the text.
ETA I just saw the nature of the blog and can now see why you said that. Still, I hope that's not the case.

My first thought was abortion. But either way, it's sad and I hope the parent finds some comfort and healing.

Yes, it's the ambiguity that makes it such a compelling picture. Hopefully the author found peace.

I didn't even think of the abortion context. I just assumed the parent (?) was thinking of all the future would have been moments.
