I have to have a cyst removed and it has been the only thing keeping me from TTC. I want it taken care of before getting pregnant so that I'm more comfortable and I'm less at risk for complications. If you've read my other posts, scheduling the surgery kept getting pushed back for various reasons, most recently because I was buying an apartment!
After February 17th I will stop taking the pill and be officially TTC! Anyone else with a similar time frame?

Good luck with the surgery! I take my last pill in less than 2 weeks (on the 28th!). I'm super excited but kinda nervous because I have been on them non-stop for 8 years. I'm going to let my body figure itself out for 2 months and then we'll be officially TTC in April!

hope it goes well!! if you don't mind me asking, is it an ovarian cyst? i have a complex hemorrhagic cyst that is shrinking really slow. i just started TTC and i've been told by drs that it'd resolve itself (this was b4 TTC) so I didn't look into getting it removed or anything. if you have more info about cysts + ttc/pregnancy let me know!

@kodybear: No it is not an Ovarian cyst and it has nothing to do with reproducing whatsoever. Just something I've had since I was little and knew I'd eventually have to have surgically removed. I want to do it now before TTC so there are no (additional) issues with comfort, etc.

@lilteacherbee: Hooray, we'll be TTC around the same time! I am also on the pill and have been on for over 10 years, so I'm sure I'm in for a wild ride!
