What kinds of field trips do your school-aged kids go on with their school? Or if you don't have school-aged kids, what kinds of field trips do you remember from your childhood?
I'm so excited for DD who is going to be in Kindergarten this fall. She will be going to the nearby Nature Center, the local library, the wildlife park, all kinds of things. My favorite memory of a field trip from my childhood is visiting the post office!

In pre-school, we toured a nearby McDonalds, and we were small enough that we could walk around inside their giant (short) freezer...I thought it was the coolest thing!

Our youngest (5) goes on more trips with his daycare than he does at school. But they go to the science centre, movies, petting zoos, libraries, etc.

My most memorable field trip from when I was a kid was when we went to a maple syrup farm. I ate so much maple sugar candy. YUM!

My oldest is in preschool this year and we walked to a pumpkin patch and then drove to a star berry patch. It was weird to have a field trip where the kids were all in car seats. It's going to be interesting when they start kindergarten and go on a bus.

My fondest memories were going to the Zoo, Statue of Liberty and Liberty science center!

G had quite a few field trips his last year in school school! They went to a local children's activity center, Goliad for some Texas History, a corn maze, & the state aquarium for their end of year trip! We're planning a trip here soon to the Alamo!

@Mrs. Train: yeah it's a little scary for me to actually think about DD taking a bus (in her case it will be a van)!
These are all great field trips!! Wish I could be a kid again!

this year we went to the pumpkin patch, fire station and the local shopping center where we got a "backstage" tour of many stores!

This year, she went to a fire station, a library, an interactive children's art exhibit, an environmental nonprofit organization/tree forest, and a bread factory.
As a preschooler in NYC, she went to a library and to a farm/pumpkin patch.
