Ugh of course I got my hopes up and spoke too soon, my temp dipped this morning. No O yet. I think it will be soon though. Just leave my date, I'm sure I will test with a couple days of it.

@MrsBrewer: my temps climbed slow and dipped at about 4 dpo this cycle..
pear / 1648 posts
@MrsBrewer: Like @Banana330: my temp always seems to dip again at 4dpo.
Except this cycle. I am on day 4 of the EXACT SAME TEMPERATURE, which never happens. I even made my hubby take his temperature to make sure my thermometer wasn't broken (it's not). Sigh.
@Banana330: I did input my data into Fertility Friend and they clearly don't see enough evidence to pinpoint ovulation for this cycle. So weird.

@peachykeen: ugh that sucks.. it's sooo frustrating to do all this tracking and your body doesn't cooperate!
pear / 1648 posts
@Banana330: I did have a 0.2 degree increase that lines up with my OPK positive (started the day after the pos OPK) so I may still be okay. It's just really different than I usually see for my temps.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@peachykeen: i'm surprised it's not giving you cross hairs.
I find the weather has been having a big impact on my temps. It was really hot last night and my temp was way up today.

@Banana330: count me in the frustrated temp camp this month too - pretty sure i haven't O'd, here at CD 25.
coconut / 8854 posts
@Banana330: @peachykeen: I don't think I O'd just yet though. I'm starting to have watery CM, so I think in the next few days I will for sure.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@Revel: ugh that was me last cycle.
@MrsBrewer: doesn't look like it yet. When do you normally O?
coconut / 8854 posts
@Banana330: Well my last cycle was my first PP cycle after weaning from nursing. I O'd on CD 21 last time. From what I've ready the first few cycles can be a little wacky....so going off of that, I'm sure any time now since I'm CD 16 right now.

@MrsBrewer: that looks promising if you're just gearing up for ovulation!
pear / 1563 posts
@MrsBrewer: maybe today could be an ovulation dip ?
@Banana330: here's my chart. I took away the + opk to see what happened but it kept the dotted crosshairs anyway so I put it back. I guess the dip today could be an outlier or a fallback rise, but I still don't see a clear shift. As with all thing ttc, time to wait and see, sigh.

@Revel: Ovulation dip? I haven't heard of that? does your temp generally dip right before ovulation??
nectarine / 2317 posts
@Revel: it's dotted cause of the lack of temps before O i think. It looks pretty good. There's a natural dip around 4 or 5 DPO that happens (secondary estrogen surge). I'll bet it shoots up again tomorrow.
@MrsBrewer: Generally ovulation is confirmed by a low temp followed by a shift in temps significantly higher. If you're temps go up over the next few days you'll know today was O day.
coconut / 8854 posts
@Banana330: wow good to know! I didn't know that O day was a low temp! Well sounds like we should definitely dtd tonight then! hahaha
nectarine / 2317 posts
@MrsBrewer: The crappy thing is you never know it's O day for sure until a few days later!
pear / 1563 posts
@Banana330: thanks for taking a look! The temps overall just seem low for post-o, but this is only month 2 for me so who knows.
@MrsBrewer: as I understand it's a pattern on some charts - the dip at O and then sustained high temps. I saw it last month and possibly this month if I actually o'd when FF thinks I did. I agree with Banana330 that you'll know if your temp is up the next few days.
coconut / 8854 posts
@Revel: @Banana330: So I just looked back at my last chart, and you guys are totally right! I had a big dip right before O day last cycle! I've never O'd on my own before (last cycle was the first time) I needed Clomid to get pregnant last time. So I may be a little overly excited about this.....hahahaha

I think I ovulated either Monday or Sunday. Not really sure. My OPKs were kind of wacky this cycle. Officially in the TWW
Still going to test on 16th.

@combatlibby: That's great!
Got a positive opk today (cd 22), so I'm ovulating late. I will poas around the 20th. The wait is gonna kill me. I already feel like I'm going to waste all my tests testing early.
pear / 1648 posts
I finally got a slightly higher temp today (CD 19, 6 dpo) so Fertility Friend decided to put solid crosshairs on 9/3 for me (which is when I believed I ovulated and usually do). We'll see what those weird consistent temps mean in a few days, I guess...
nectarine / 2317 posts
@peachykeen: ya for solid cross hairs.
@Iced Tea: welcome to the two week wait...
I'm 8dpo and it's killing me. I really want to test but I'm hesitant to get a bfn and be disappointed.
pear / 1648 posts
@Banana330: I always end up giving in and testing early - I'm at 7dpo today and am really going to try to distract myself and wait until Tuesday (10 dpo). I don't think I've ever been able to wait that long so far though
Sending you for a !
