Finally O'd!!! POAS date is 9/26! Which would be 11DPO. We'll see if I hold out that long

Looks like I'm out for this month. I've been spotting now for 10 days... No idea what's going on! Seeing my doctor tomorrow so I'm praying for some answers. Fingers crossed for October and I'm rooting for the rest of you!!

@dc yoga bee: I got a last week - you can add me to the list.
Still here cheering the rest of the list on!

AF was due yesterday and she hasn't shown yet! Trying not to get my hopes up, though I almost always have a 26 day cycle like clockwork. Will POAS first thing tomorrow. This is the first month my husband and I used Pre-Seed. We didn't realize the lube we'd been using could be toxic to sperm.

@bizwitch: good luck!! exciting update!
I have been using pre-seed too, but just as regular lube (not using it with the "injectors" it comes with).
pear / 1553 posts
@Bibliolove: OMG the injector is so weird!! We did it that way... Not very romantic lol

I couldn't wait and just got a BFN. Which isn't surprising considering I've been drinking a lot of fluids all day. Still no AF though. If not PG, could be attributed to recent stress at work or delayed O due to traveling. We'll see!

@peachykeen: Congrats!!
@bizwitch: I used pre-seed with my first! So romantic I also had 26 day cycles, actually kind of nice when TTC because you get to try more often! Ha.

AF came right as I was about to go to bed last night. Which means I need to call today to have some RE tests scheduled.

@bizwitch: Sorry about AF. It sucks when your cycle gets a bit wonky and leaves you hoping.

@Banana330: Just broke into tears for seemingly no reason. This sucks so much. Now on cycle 16. My husband and I don't make a lot of money and won't be able to afford IVF or adoption. I'm scared we'll never be parents and I don't know what to do.
We are going to go look at shelter dogs to adopt though. We have been wanting a new dog but thought we would wait until a year or two after our kid is born. One complication at once. But we can't put the the other parts of our lives on hold forever.
nectarine / 2317 posts
@bizwitch: Totally understand. TTC is a complex beast and it brings out tons of emotions you never thought about.
It's frustrating but I wouldn't give up hope yet. You're just starting with your RE and hopefully they can provide you some direction. Definitely don't put the rest of your life on hold though. Not everything happens in the perfect order and you have to do whats good for your mental health too.
I find focusing on other stuff super hard when i'm TTC. It can become all consuming. Keeping super busy is the best thing for me and focusing on other parts ( I'm working out more, trying to take care of myself better).

@bizwitch: ah, what a pisser. I hate that sense of false hope, it just kills when AF arrives. GL with testing! And the pre-seed should help...I wonder how toxic other lubes are to sperm. I mean, this could be a game changer if it was really bad for those swimmers previously.

@Banana330: I obsess terribly during the TWW. One reason why I'm going to try and stay away from HB during it this time around!
I read an article in The Atlantic recently about one woman's infertility journey. She talked about how this was not her only narrative...she is so much more than the woman who has not had a child. I liked that, so I keep telling myself: this is not my only narrative!

@bizwitch: Ugh I'm so sorry! You didn't cry for no reason, getting your period when you're trying to get pregnant is upsetting. Trying to get pregnant and not succeeding can be upsetting! The feelings you are having are normal and completely understandable. I'm so sorry you're going through this =[

I'm also out this cycle. I started spotting yesterday and I had a temp drop this morning. AF is dragging her feet, but she is coming, and hopefully by the end of the day she will be here. I just want to get through it so we can start the next cycle.

@bizwitch: I'm so sorry. That's rough, and it's reasonable to be upset. I hope you get some answers soon and find yourself on your way to babyland.

Add me to the positive list. I'm cautiously hopeful that this one will stick; my daughter was also second cycle after a miscarriage.
My husband is returning from a business trip today, and my daughter's train play inspired me to make a fun announcement.

Kind of weird, I'm only 4 DPO, but I'm starting to have cramps?? Too early for implantation, right?

Saw a new OB today. She was fabulous and spent an hour and a half with me! She told me my last doc is actually banned from a few hospitals because of some terrible stuff he's done and they are working to make it so he can't see patients anymore. Crazy!!! But telling a patient a 17 day cycle is "normal" and that you won't treat actively because "you already have a baby" is nuts. Rant over!
My new OB has me starting prometrium to get my spotting to stop, reset my cycle and then she'll do day 3 lab work. She also noticed my left ovary was enlarged so I'm getting an ultrasound done next week to see what's causing it. Could be my PCOS, a fibroid... Who knows.
I don't have any of the metabolic symptoms of PCOS but when I got my first ultrasound with my first baby the OB noticed I had polycystic ovaries and combined with my irregular cycles... The diagnosis fits.
Once we get my lab work and my ultrasound done we'll make a plan. She said she had two options for me... I could do birth control for three months to "reset" (I got pregnant right after I stopped taking birth control with my first) or I could try clomid. I'm having such a hard time deciding. My husband is really against clomid because of the risk of multiples- he's a med school student right now so it would just make our situation kind of difficult. But I'm having a hard time with the thought of birth control for another THREE months! What if that doesn't work?? Ugh. Every week feels long in the TTC world.

I've gotten behind on this thread! Congrats to all the mamas with BFPs so far!
@Iced Tea: Congrats! What a cute way to announce to DH.
@pureluck: I'm glad your OB spent so much time with you and that you have options for going forward. I can see why it would be hard to make a decision. You're right about weeks seeming longer while TTC!
Baby fever is in overdrive here. My cousin is pregnant with #2 and due in April, I just found out. And a Facebook friend announced today with the cutest little announcement. I feel like I'm seeing pregnant ladies and babies everywhere.

@pureluck: awesome doc! Glad you found a good one! Three months does seem like forever...that would be tough to decide! Doesn't Femara have less chance of multiples? I don't know too much about those drugs, but worth some research and discussion with your OB. Clomid might be preferred by your doc.

Joining late to do a little venting. I was posting in a few threads how this was the month I was hoping to start trying, but my husband isn't ready. Well, last month, I had periods two weeks apart, which is very unusual for me. Then, this month I haven't gotten my period yet! I think I am 5-6 days late at this point. Ive taken 3-4 tests and all negative. I was hoping for a surprise pregnancy, I know DH would be happy although shocked, but it seems like my body/hormones are just Fing with me!

@MrsBrewer: Thank you! I just use ovia, but I don't really do anything other than plug in the dates I have my period.

@junebugsmama: well hopefully you just miss calculated your O! Fingers crossed for a positive!
