@78h2o: thanks! Ya, it was a bit of a downer since we were hoping to have a less than 2 year spacing...best laid plans LO was/is a boob monster and didn't really take to solids until closer to 12 months. It took getting down to one bedtime nursing session to get my period back. I really wanna go back to nursing for naps (she keeps asking for it and is on a bit of a nap strike) but I'm afraid to lose my period again.

@MrsBrewer: I thought about waiting until Saturday too... one day of willpower and it goes to my head! If you don't usually ovulate, I think it would be hard to know if the tenderness is a post-ovulation/progesterone symptom, or a pregnancy symptom. It really is cruel that the symptoms are the same! I had breast tenderness last cycle when we weren't TTC (but not 100% careful), and I wondered if I could be pg, but it turned out to be PMS. I don't usually get that symptom though, and I didn't get it with my first two pregnancies. Such a mind f#@%!
ETA: The high temp is awesome though! Any idea how long your LP is? You inspired me to take my temp this morning... however, I took it only 2.5 hours after getting up to pee. I forget how long you have to be in bed... 3 or 4 hours? My temp was up though, assuming my cloverline is the same as it was 2 years ago... which is of course a big assumption

@Anutka: That is tricky, sorry! I have a few friends who had to wean entirely to ovulate/get pg, so I guess it's good that you at least could still continue. I wanted to nurse until 2 years, but had to stop at 11.5 mo when LO self-weaned, probably due to me lower supply.

@78h2o: Yea this is definitely my first cycle that I think I even ovulated truthfully (I took Clomid for the first time this cycle) Since I normally don't ovulate, I have no idea which symptoms to look out for! I hate it too that the symptoms with pg and PMS are similar! boo!!! hahahah No idea about the length of my LP, and truthfully I don't even know what average??
Yay for taking your temp! I think it's recommended that you have 3 hours of sleep before you temp, but I would think that 2.5 is close enough! Alright....want to make a pact that we will wait until Saturday to test?? Hold out one more day??
@Anutka: I think I'm going to wait one more day until Saturday to test now, that way I'm 10 DPO. Hopefully more accurate then!

@MrsBrewer: That's awesome that you were able to ovulate with the Clomid! I am not sure yet if I can commit to Saturday! I have a bunch of Wondfos calling my name. I promise to avoid them tonight, but not sure about tomorrow.
I'll let you know though if I decide I am up for the pact! It helped me today.
I think the average luteal phase is 14 days, meaning that AF would come 15 DPO. Mine is 11 days, so AF should come Saturday.

@78h2o: LOL! It's okay, Saturday is a stretch for me as well. I have Wondfos at home that I want to use!! I think tomorrow is the day as well for me!

Getting some bloody discharge right now. It might end up being a chemical for me. I'm pretty sure it happened right before I got pregnant with LO. Guess it's a good thing I'm taking tomorrow off.

@cascademom: ugh, I'm sorry! I hope it's not a CP. I had a little spotting around 6 weeks when I was pregnant with my daughter and it ended up ok. However, I had early spotting in my first pregnancy that ended in miscarriage at 7.5 weeks, so I think it is impossible to know how it's going to go. I will be thinking good thoughts for you and hoping it sticks.

@78h2o: @Mrs. J: I had spotting issues with LO. We did the deed last night. The discharge is happening way after it. I typically spot before my period as well.

@travellingbee: Hmm, didn't think of that. I did get implantation bleeding with LO by way before I positive pregnancy tests. Is that possible, does that happen?
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@cascademom: yeah. I had spotting between weeks 5 & 6 and the doctor said it was implantation spotting from the embryo getting comfy in there. Is it red, pink or brown?
coconut / 8861 posts
@travellingbee: It's red and pink. At first, it was a huge glob of it. Then when I pee, it's sometimes dry and other times a little pink. With LO, I had a friable cervix too, so easily irritated by things like sex.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
Hmmm... Mine was brownish peach. No globs. Well fingers crossed. I guess you'll have to wait to know....
coconut / 8861 posts
@travellingbee: With LO, it was a few days DPO and a bright red spot. This one today was a lot of CM pink and red. It's literally a wait and see.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@cascademom: my spotting at 6 weeks with LO was brownish red. It sounds like it could be implantation, friable cervix, or CP. Hopefully it's one of the first two possibilities. I think the fact that you had a friable cervix before means that it is likely that you have it again... and sex yesterday could have irritated things, even if it didn't show up right away. Did you go to bed soon after?
coconut / 8861 posts
@78h2o: I stayed up about an hour and half later. I took a shower, did some Internet surfing, then went to bed. My bits were itchy post sex, so I knew that my cervix could be friable at that point.

Late on my period over here, but I caved and took a first response test last weekend before wine tasting (11 DPO). If nothing happens by tomorrow morning I'll probably test again. Holding out hope that the FRER was wrong!

@cascademom: Sounds like it could be normal spotting, especially with having DTD last night? Fingers crossed for you!

@cascademom: FX everything is good!!
I'm officially out for September, which gives me a 10 day LP. Is that too short?
@RubyCali: @78h2o: @MrsBrewer: and anyone else testing, hope to see some pretty lines tomorrow!!

Congrats to all the BFPs!!!
I think I Oed early this month (temps up and EW CM)
BUT We had to go to great grandfathers funeral (an 8 hour drive away) so we went early and stayed at a hotel, with LO in our room for 3 days/nights. We tried to DTD on O day but LO woke up and we had to stop halfway. Next chance was O+3 so I'm almost certainly out this month :sad Maybe I got it wrong and Oed later... but I don't think so...
Plus I got light pink spotting for the last two days... don't know what to make of that
I don't like PP cycles
coconut / 8861 posts
@Anutka: Thanks. Nothing since the spotting and the remains of it. I've done my random tests for it like I did with LO. We'll see what tonight, tomorrow, and the weekend brings.

Anyone else still waiting to O? I'm actually not sure yet if I'll be an end of September or early October tester--I'm on CD14, so if I O in the next two days, I could test on the very last day of September. Things have been great so far this cycle--very steady temps, OPKs went from blank to blinking smileys, EWCM. We also started BDing a lot earlier/more regularly than past cycles. I really hope it works.......a BFN this cycle would fall on my 30th birthday AND push us into the 6+ month phase. I think that will be pretty hard.
nectarine / 2262 posts
I'm 7 dpo... temp was still up this morning... boobs (really just nipples) have been pretty sore/full feeling since O (that's kind of unusual for me).... so we'll see what happens.
And I'm having a glass of wine tonight because, well, as far as I know I'm not pregnant yet.
As I'm getting closer to when I'll either start my period or getting a BFP, I've been feeling super nervous about potentially being pregnant. It's keeping me up at night. Like, is this the right decision now? Am I ready for this? How will I handle work? What if I get super sick when I'm pregnant? Ahhh...

Joining a little late, but didn't quite know if I would make September. I think it will be close though.
Cycle Day: 17
TTC Cycle #: 2
POAS date: 9/30
Baby #: 2
Your plan this month: I have been using the clearblue advanced opk. We BD CD 14-17 and have had flashing smileys since CD 15. But now the hubby is out of town tomorrow, so we will BD again Cd 19. I have also been temping, but haven't seen any major change. Hoping that missing tomorrow isn't going to cost us.
Fall activities you are looking forward to: apple orchards

@angelachase: cycle buddy! Hope you O soon! I am also on CD14 and I was expecting a positive opk today... But both morning and afternoon we negative. Womp womp. Hoping tomorrow to get a positive... I really don't want another anovulatory cycle. I plan to keep up the EOD BD through CD22 if I can't confirm O using opks and cross my fingers that I just missed the surge because it was middle of the night or something! I plan to POAS by the end of the month either way!

@Anutka: Thank you. I'm sorry about AF. I think a 10 day LP is ok. 9 or less is considered a luteal phase deficit. I think 10-12 is sort of borderline, but fine. Mine is 11 days and has not been a problem so far. I have definitely heard of people getting pregnant with a 10 day luteal phase. I've also heard that nursing can cause a shorter luteal phase, but I think you are ok.

@Mrs. Microscope: @angelachase: I'm still waiting to O too! Today is CD13 for me, and no positive opk yet. Never got one last time so I don't put a whole lot of faith in them but we will see! My other signs (CM, cervix position) point to O soon. I hate pp cycles too!

So, I tested last night and this morning. The tests are getting darker. No spotting since yesterday's thing at work. I was tired and crampy, so I put on some socks and went to bed. I'm going to see how the weekend goes and then email my OB about the spotting to see if I can get wanded before 8 weeks.
grapefruit / 4441 posts
@cascademom: That is good to hear! I really hope it is just a friable cervix. I think that's a strong possibility. I hope your OB can see you a little earlier for some piece of mind.
coconut / 8854 posts
Call me a hopeless optimist. I'm 9 DPO but I swear I see the faintest line.
Okay now I feel stupid because you can't see it on the picture at all....
*deleted picture* maybe tomorrow it will be darker.

@78h2o: Barring a period this weekend or next week, I'm going to see if it's possible to get looked at earlier. Part of me worries it might not be a viable pregnancy, but that's just my worst case scenario self. I honestly thought that the tests would lighten and period would start from what I saw yesterday. If I saw it before getting positive tests, I would have been sure that it was implantation bleeding, but this late, I'm not sure.
I went in at 7 weeks with LO for light spotting, nothing like yesterday's. The nurse or assistant working there was awesome. She got me in to just check on the baby with another doctor and even followed up afterwards. I had confidence the next week that LO was okay. He's just over 2 and being a total toddler these days.

@angelachase: I'm still waiting here with ya. By my estimates and digital flashing smileys, I should O on Sunday. Either way I'll probably stick to POAS on the 30th. These long cycles PP are killing me.
