Hi everyone! So DH and I are going to have our first date night in 1.5 years tomorrow. Yay! But we don't know if we should have our babysitter and/or kids mask up.
Our babysitter is vaccinated (as we are), and she is very responsible. But she also works with other families and traveled recently. I am not sure how to proceed. We have been fairly cautious and always wear masks (as most people in the area where we live) but I also don't want to be overly paranoid.
What would you guys do in that situation? Thanks!!

No. The vaccines are incredibly effective. It’s practically impossible to spread Covid if you’ve been vaccinated. (I work in public health). Enjoy date night!

I think no. She’s vaccinated. Especially if you’re both vaccinated too.

I agree with PPs—if she’s vaccinated, no. Our teachers at preschool still have to wear masks indoors, but I’d honestly be fine with them changing that rule. I know both of my kids’ teachers are vaccinated and have been for months!

I would give her the option to do as she wants. Our babysitter prefers to wear a mask when indoors with the kids, even though she's vaccinated and we told her she didn't need to from our end. (Our kids do not wear masks, as they are young; we wear a mask around her as a courtesy although we are vaccinated). Just to say, some people actually prefer to wear masks around unvaccinated kids, even when vaccinated.
