If your LO's school has an orientation day (like an hour long thing where mom stays with them), do you count that as the first day of school, or the first day when you drop them off and they stay the whole time without you?
Super important pinteresty questions on my mind. 
I'm thinking I'll take her first day pic on the first day I leave her there not orientation. Right?

Obviously I would rather think about this and a cute sign and photo than things like packing up our entire condo.

Well, for our orientation, we leave the kids in the their classroom and then go to a separate event for parents. I am planning on taking the first day of school picture that morning, since my husband will be around too.

Agree with PPs. LO has a preview day where he will only be there for an hour, and I'm going to take his photo on his first full day.
