Okay, so I admit it. I was the one who was slow on the ball. Having never had a kid, gone to any parenting classes, read any books on the subject (I can hear you all gasp in shock), I didn't know when it was a good time to start foods for my LO or start introducing sippy cups.

I think I waited too long on the later. First, we tried a Nuk soft spout. With nothing in it, he's fine. Happily started sucking on it. But when we introduced water? Nu uh, wouldn't touch it. So my mom got a Dr. Brown's soft spout cup. This went a little better as time went by but still, not much on the drinking out of it and not a huge fan of water. A few months back, since Henry has eight teeth at nearly a year old, I bought the Dr. Brown's hard spout. We're liking it a little better.

So each go around we're getting better. But he's nearly a year old. I can't get him to drink consistently from a sippy cup, and I'm worried about his 12 month appointment when they'll tell me it's time to start weaning him off formula and onto whole milk

I feel like I've failed him and I'm at a loss at what to do!
