This is going to be long but I feel some background is needed.
M has always been a horrible napper / nighttime sleeper. She never clocked the recommended hours. We were not too concerned because she was/is happy generally.
For the beginning month or 2 it would take close to 2hoirs to get her to fall asleep at night. Much of it spent crying. Then that slowly got better to one hour. She was generally falling asleep by 9.
Then she started daycare and she moved her bedtime up to we needed to have her bathe by 630. Then it was 600! It was great! She was getting 6-7 hour stretches!
Then the dreaded 4 month sleep regression plus wonder week happened. Even that I could deal with. Waking up 8+ times a night was fine as long as she was sleeping!
But then in the last week it got worse. Putting her to sleep at night has been a nightmare. She will no longer go down at 630. She will pull off the boob crying screaming. (she nurses fine in the daytime) She will whimper. As soon as I leave the bedroom she stops and is all smiles. In the past week she has conked out on my sboulder twice. Fell asleep sitting on daddy twice. Most times around 830 and some closer to 10 and once 11. So for the most part she is still getting a min of 10hours which I think is good for a 5 month old?
With the horrible bedtime her night wakings have gotten better.
I can't tell if she's trying to move her own bedtime
Back or it's teething. I tried the hylands tablet to hit and yea it did nothing. She conked out 1.5 hours after I gave her 2 tablets.
Has anyone else's LO move back their own bedtime?
Can you think of anything else it might be?
She was at the dr today and there no ear infection and theres no teeth cutting through.
Any insights? She's really throwing me for a loop this time!
