what days is your daycare closed? I thought my daycare had way too many days closed but I found out some daycares close for a week at xmas

our daycare is closed for all those holidays, 2 weeks at christmas, and the month of august!
it's a small daycare so the two women who run it deserve the break. if we sent charlie to a more center-based daycare, they would be open except for major holidays.

All of the ones you listed plus the week between Christmas & New Years are paid holidays (I pay for the full week.) They are also closed for a month in the summer so they can go home to their native country. Once every three years when the LOs "graduate" to preschool and they get a new group of babies, they will go for two months. The long summer time closures are not paid holidays and they help line up care during that time, if needed.

They are closed for all the major holidays and then for the week between Christmas and New Years. Luckily My office is also closed that week so I can stay home with LO.
