Those who use opks... how often do you use them? I have been doing each morning but not sure if that's enough?
cantaloupe / 6634 posts
@Bubbles: When I am TTC, I use one OPK each afternoon (between 12pm-3pm) because that's when you get your LH surge. If you test positive in the morning, it's actually the LH surge from the day before. Some people like to test more than once a day because their surge is short. Mine is typically 2-3 full days, so once a day is enough for me.

@simplyfelicity: thanks so much that's great info - I've been doing it first thing in the morning so far, but I think I will add in an afternoon one too just to be sure!

Ok, so I poas on what should have been 12dpo, BFN. So I *think* I had a very short cycle last month. Like only 18 days!? and all that spotting I've been having since friday was in fact my very light period. I'm normally pretty regular at 26-28 days so this is so weird. Anyway, my plan now is to get some opk's to try to pinpoint when I ovulate bc with this odd 18 day cycle who knows??? My app is all screwed up and shows an o date BUT that is based off a 26 day cycle.

9 DPO and took a test - BFN . No other symptoms either. Thinking I'm out this time around.
persimmon / 1129 posts
I think I'm 8 or 9 dpo today and I totally caved on testing. I got the squintiest of squinters. I'm posting a picture so you see what I mean.
ETA: It's a little easier to see in person than on a computer screen!

So I'm pretty sure (I don't temp, just use OPKs) that we BD on O-1 and O, or maybe it was O-2 and O-1, but were just too tired from a day of landscaping and a birthday party to do it again for a 3rd day in a row. I'm still pretty hopeful for this cycle, so now to just keep my mind occupied during the TWW...

@BandDmommy: I know, in person it's definitely there but on the screen it's even "squintier" than in real life
I had a CP before my daughter so I take light pregnancy tests as more of a "wait and see" than a "yay I'm pregnant!"

@Ajsmommy: I'm sorry to hear, but OPKs really helped me figure out when I O bc I have very irregular cycles.
@ksnow: I'm sorry to hear about the negative test. I tested at 10-11 DPO (unsure which date exactly) and got a BFN too. I've been having intense period cramps for the past week and I'm just impatiently waiting for AF to show up too.
@My Only Sunshine: congrats!!! Hopefully this is a sticky baby!!
@Loscato: that sounds like a great amount of BDing!

@My Only Sunshine: I maaayyybe see it... you're still really early though. Fingers crossed
I'm really excited about this cycle. We had awesome timing and I had good cm, which had been an issue for me. I'm either 4 or 5 dpo, so I'll probably test on Sunday or Monday!

@My Only Sunshine: I don't see anything, but I hope it gets darker for you!
@kiddosc: Woohoo!
We need some more action on this board! I'm not sure where everyone is? In the 2ww I'm assuming. I haven't even hit my O date! Not a fan of being the last tester every month lol. Everyone is usually gone by the time I POAS.

@WinterBee: I should get my AF this week and then I'll just stick around on this board for my "July" cycle. When do you O?
persimmon / 1071 posts
@TrailRunner: Yay, I'll have company.
I should O in between the 11th-16th expected AF date on the 28th. I'm not charting so that's based on an app. I have a pretty regular 31 day cycle, it's my 2nd month off of BC and DH and I are trying... but not really lol.
We're just trying to be relaxed about it, but I love all of the info I get from these boards! I really had no idea about the process before!

@jh524: @TrailRunner: My son's surgery went great. My the next day he was acting like nothing ever happend!
I had been feeling like I wasn't pregnant this month. Then Saturday I had some cramping and got my hopes up. I tested this morning (which should be 11DPO) and got a very NEGATIVE test. So I think I'm out this month.
I'm not sure when I'll test again. Wednesday at the earliest. I might try to wait till Friday.

@Dr. Pepper: ok 11dpo is still early !!!
Why do we all torture ourselves by testing so early. lol maybe it's these pregnancy tests that "claim " to tell you 6'days before your missed period getting us excited... I'm not that lucky to get early results so I have to wait it out.....
So I'm guessing I'm 13dpo maybe 12 and I got a very negative test this morning. I know it's different for everyone but last time I had a very negative at same dpo as today and got a light positive at 14dpo. If your testing early it doesn't mean your out!!! Silly girls!!
Give it time and when you actually MISS your period is a good time to expect a positive test.... Ok you know that but stop saying your out!!! Lol you repeat early testers, I'm talking to you!! lol
I'll test again tomorrow or Wednesday and fingers crossed for a !!!!!

Oh and I had the strangest sensation yesterday like a funny bubbling feeling on my left side, same side I ovulated on. Anyone ever felt something similar? It was like a bubbling, pulsing feeling. guess it maybe could have been implantation but last time I felt implantation cramps and they kinda hurt so it wasn't like last time. I'm a Over Thinker so I googled ectopic pregnancy because my friend had two. I had to just stop, sit back and choose to relax.... Worrying does nothing but raise stress levels & I don't want that so I'm just chillin now and will update soon

@JH524 I hope you're right and all us early testers get some BFPs in the coming days! I psych myself out googling shows all kinds of people seeing their BFPs on 8/9.
apricot / 461 posts
@jh524: yes I know it's early but I have none of the symptoms I've had with my 3 previous pregnancies. And, with all 3 of them I tested positive between 9-11 DPO.
kiwi / 585 posts
@ksnow: yes!!! I feel like everyone has tested positive waaaayyyy before 14dpo.
@jh524: I just figure that since I'm testing negative and I have clear signs of AF coming that I'm out. But there is always next month!
@Dr. Pepper: so glad to hear you son is doing well! I'm sorry you aren't ku this month tho
apricot / 461 posts
@TrailRunner: thanks! I'm not counting myself completely out until AF comes but I really think she'll show up thurs-sat sometime. I'm ok with waiting for next month. I've always wanted a March baby!

@ksnow: yes!!!! Fingers crossed for many very soon!!!!
@Dr. Pepper: I see. I wish I Could get a positive that early! This 2ww is brutal!!
@TrailRunner: there's always next month, that's right!!!
My nippers have suddenly got very sensitive just moving in my sports bra so I'm not looking forward to nursing my lil dude before his nap in a few minutes..... Eek!!!!!!

opk's are ordered!! now i'll just have to figure out how to use them

@My Only Sunshine: I totally see it!! That's what my 8dpo line looked like when pregnant with my daughter and it was an obvious positive two days later!! Congrats mama!!
kiwi / 585 posts
@Ajsmommy: I use those little tiny plastic cups that ppl sometimes keep in their bathroom. It's much easier to dip it in a cup than trying pee on it. I use them around 4 in the afternoon starting about a week before I "think" I will O. Hold the stick in the pee for about 20 sec then wait to see if there is a smiley face or not!
Edit: goodness my grammar sucked!

You guyyyysssss... I really think I'm pregnant! I'm only 7dpo but I have just been feeling it the last couple of days. So much different than last month!! Not testing till Thursday at 10dpo (have a dentist appt. and don't want X-rays if I'm knocked up) so I'm prayyyyyyying for a bfp then or shortly after! really hoping this is it after 9 damn months and two losses (and the due date for my first loss coming up at the end of June)!!

@jh524: I have the sensitive nips too, since like 2 dpo! Weird. How old is your little dude? I weaned my daughter right before we started trying in sept. I was sooooo beyond ready (she was 2.5) but knew I would not be able to handle sore pregnant boob nursing. Major props to those that can!

@TrailRunner: I'm thinking I'm out, but Wednesday is likely cycle day 1 so there can be a miracle maybe.... I felt very very pregnant last week, now I just feel PMSy and roughly half my blood stream is sudafed so maybe it just isn't the right time. Thanks for checking in though
