I'll save the baby sleep woes post for another day, but has anyone found a softer crib mattress that they like? I figure it is not 100% by the book at her age but I'm trying to assess what options are out there. Did anyone make a similar switch?

Our crib mattress is double sided: one for infant, one for toddler. We flipped it to toddler side a couple of months ago.

You can probably flip yours to the toddler side. We also have a mattress pas underneath that is a bit soft.

Ours wasn't two-sided, and it is a rather expensive organic mattress, so I wasn't thrilled with the idea of buying another mattress when the one we had was so nice. So I ended up buying a wool mattress topper and it's worked out nicely.

@cascademom:@hilsy85: thanks! I'm not even sure if our mattress is two sided but I will check tonight. If not maybe I will try to find a topper like @BananaPancakes: suggested.
