K hasn't really been interested in solids. It's REALLY slow to feed her anything, I'm talking 1/2 oz. maaaybe. She likes when I give her water from a straw. Since she's over 7 months now, I'm kind of worried about iron deficiency, so I gave in and gave her oatmeal cereal. I had planned to skip cereals entirely, but the ped and our friends and family kind of keep pushing it. To my surprise, it is the one thing she actually opens her mouth for! Still takes forever to feed it to her. Yesterday was the second time I gave it to her (with water too) and she threw up A LOT. I figured I was giving her too much water, so I just fed the cereal alone tonight, without the additional water, and she threw up again. The cereal is pretty watery and she's not gagging. This hasn't happened with the purees.

Anyone have an idea why she's throwing up the cereal?
