Hi friends! My LO is 9 months. All of the sudden my nipples hurt really bad while nursing. This has never been an issue. Could it be that he's teething or possible pregnancy symptom? Ive got to go get a FRER. BUT have had 2 either faint positives or Evap lines (2 different types of test) and having other symptoms too but just wanted some thoughts! Thx girls!!

It can be! I wasn't nursing when I got pregnant but my nipples did hurt a lot. Good luck! If you can't get out, you can order FRER's on Amazon too.

I quit nursing my 15 month old because of the pain, although the pain wasnt noticeable for me until 12 weeks pregnant.

I noticed that Bf'ing became uncomfortable when I was first pregnant with my second.

If it turns out you aren't pregnant, then you may be getting thrush.

That was the reason I tested for my third pregnancy. It was getting more and more uncomfortable every day so I finally decided to test and it was a blazing positive. Good luck mama!

Yup. Definitely my first sign with my second pregnancy. I eventually had to wean her because it became so painful.

That was how I knew to test. But it could be thrush.

This happened to me the month I got my first pp period. I thought I had thrush but hadn't had any antibiotics and had no other symptoms. It turns out i get nipple pain when I'm ovulating. That first pp period hit me like a ton of bricks and the nipple pain probably lasted for about a week or so.

@tofuwad: I think you are on to something. I have had nipple pain the last few days and wondered if I was getting thrush again. I know I'm not pregnant, but I AM ovulating for the first time PP. Thanks for the heads up!

I was still nursing when I had a chemical pregnancy and it hurt so badly! definitely the biggest sign of that pregnancy

Nursing was crazy for the first 2-3 months of pregnancy and then we stopped. It was one of the first things I noticed. I'd had a BC oops so I was pretty sure I might be pregnant but waited to test until a day or two before AF. By the time I tested it was pretty clear things were changing.

I'm sure it could be. Mine didn't get sore right away. It took until about 12 weeks for mine to get really sore and then I weaned my 2 y.o. around that time they hurt so much.
