We had a scheduled c-section, and we had my in-laws bring bagels with them when they came, which was late morning.
When I've worked on L&D, we most often got donuts or bagels, or pizza in the evenings. Often the parents of mom or dad will bring them in (like us) or mom and dad will order in (like the pizza).
As a side note, I was bummed that none of the nurses thanked us for the bagels. I did ask one of them, though, and she said they were enjoyed, so that's good.

I had no idea people brought treats for the nurses! Will definitely have to do something when we have baby #2.

We didn't do this. But I would probably go with something store bought, just because a lot of people are weirded out by eating homemade food when they don't know the person.

I am all about bribing the nurses... Maybe I'll have my mom bring them cupcakes or something sweet.

My husband brought Sprinkles cupcakes for me and my visitors. We just offered them to nurses and other staff members as they would come in and out of the room.

I had my care at a birth center so 6 weeks of post-partum care is included. At my last appt, I brought homemade healthy brownies, cookies and muffins (all made with coconut or almond flour, and no sugar!), and hand written notes for them all. Everyone loved them!

I didn't plan on giving them anything, but I got a cake from a visitor that I knew I wouldn't be able to finish, so just gave it to the nurses, around day 4 of my stay... Sucks because I really wanted a piece but my husband said it was really cheesy to give them a half-eaten cake.. Lol..
