Right now I have a TT steam sterilizer and a Boon Lawn drying rack on the counter for pump parts and bottles. The sterilizer keeps everything wet, but I kind of worry about just leaving the freshly sterilized pieces exposed if I just leave them to dry on the Lawn rack? Am I being an overly-worried FTM? We don't have much cabinet space to designate for baby stuff yet (since there's not so much). I have some of the less used stuff that's clean in a plastic box now.
What do you do after you wash, clean, or sterilize? Do you just leave it out on a drying rack?

Yup we just leave on a separate dry rack. We wash everything in a separate basin and with a separate sponge though, since I figure our sink gets raw meat, etc. on it.

We don't have a drying rack so I end up taking the stuff out of the microwave steriliser and either letting it dry on kitchen roll on the kitchen surface or drying it with kitchen roll myself. Pump parts then go in the fridge and bottles/soothers go in a plastic container on the side. So many times I've been too lazy to dry and ended up having to re-sterilise. I was WAY more organised in the early days.

Drying rack. At work, I wash them and put them in a nylon baby Baggu bag hanging in my mother's room locker.

OK, so I was just being a worrywart FTM! Drying rack is okay then! I still might be a little paranoid and get a larger plastic bin w/cover to keep the clean, less-used stuff intact from germs.
* At least right now with all the grandmas cooking, there's a lot of activity in the kitchen. Yesterday there was just meat de-frosting in the sink and I was so paranoid about any of the parts touching the sink! -
I just leave it on the drying rack. But I think that's a good idea about putting it in a container on the counter with a lid. I was a little more careful with that stuff when he was a newborn.

@shopaholic: FWIW, after my pump parts have competely dried, I assemble them and put them in a ziploc container with a lid.
I don't worry about the bottles/nipples, because they get used the very next day, i.e., prepped and put in fridge for nanny.ETA: I move the drying rack into the breakfast area (to keep it away from any food prep) overnight/during the day.

Drying rack until they are dried, then into the cabinets for bottles and into my pump back for the pump parts. But we don't cook meat at our house, so maybe I have less to worry about?

I dry on a dishtowel on the counter then put them together and into the pump bag; most days they are still slightly wet. They are in a less used area of the counter and don't get washed after meals are prepared so they aren't in the meal prep area.
