First one was our lucky cycle!! (I did have another IVF cycle cancelled the month before, however it was on Day 4 (first blood draw and progesterone was too high). But I don't count that since we didn't get to retrieval/transfer.

We did a fresh cycle and transferred 1 embryo but I ended up sick with Ovarian Hyperstimulation Syndrome and that wasn't a successful cycle (my body was all sorts of unhappy with me and the meds!!). We did have some embryos make it to freeze so we did an FET a couple of months later, transferred 2 embryos and had our daughter from that cycle.
Definitely hopeful for this cycle for you!!!

My first fresh transfer worked! We transferred 2 embryos on day 3 and they both took. My fingers are crossed for you!

I've done 3 cycles, 1 fresh and 2 frozen. I had success on the 3rd try but miscarried.

For my son, we did one fresh cycle that was successful.
This year, we started for trying for baby 2 with frozen embryos from that cycle. First transfer failed. Second took but HCG didn't double and resulted in a miscarriage at 8 weeks.
We opted to try another fresh cycle since we weren't having any luck. So far, so good.;)

Just in case I wasnt doing enough googling about IVF cycles and success rates!DH and I chatted and are both keen to transfer 2 when we get there. Really hoping for first time luck but I've long binned the rose tinted specs of blind optimism haha.

I don't know very many people at all IRL that have done IVF...it's nice to have this perspective in addition to the stats! We have good cause to be optimistic (with a dash of realism)!
