We've been double swaddling with a Velcro swaddle me blanket underneath and an A&A blanket around that, which seems to keep Lo nice and cozy. However frequently a little after we put her down I look over and the outside blanket has ridden up above her shoulders and is almost covering her mouth. I push it back down bc it looks unsafe. Does this happen to other people? Any way to avoid? She's 3 weeks old and has reasonable head and neck control.

you could put a sleep sack over the velcro swaddle instead (a+a makes muslin "sleeping bags"), which should stay put better.
we were so awful with our swaddling technique that we switched to velcro swaddles, and then the woombie (we preferred the woombie because of the simple zipper).

@edelweiss: yeah we have a Winnie in the next size up. But we already have an A&A sleeping bag- I didn't even think of that.

This sometimes happened with R. We started just putting the Swaddleme blanket a little lower so when she would try and move it wouldn't ride up.

Yeah this happened to us too. LO is a mover, and he would always get the A&A blankets over his mouth. We use the swaddle me blankets every night now, and we just lower the positioning so when it's swaddled, it's nowhere near his mouth/tucked under his chin.
