I have been putting off switching my 26 month old into a bed. He doesn't try to climb out of the crib and I like him being contained until one of us goes and gets him. My daughter needs the crib very soon. We are moving so I was going to move my boy into a bed now and then my daughter into the crib once we have moved. That way my son could be used to his bed before we move. But now he has decided to skip his afternoon nap almost every other day making me not want to switch him to the bed anymore. What would you do? Leave him in the crib and buy a second one for my daughter? Switch him to a bed and deal with the not napping and potentially getting out of bed during naps how?

ETA: Also, if we do move him to a bed, should I remove the toys from his room so he can't play if he does get out of bed?
