Suck!!! I'm on CD39 and I don't even think that I've ovulated yet but I decided to take a test just to be sure. It was definitely positive but 2 follow up FRERs have said otherwise.
It freaked me out so cured the baby fever for a couple of months I think 
Anyone else have a false positive?

Ugh, I've heard blue dyed tests are notorious for their false positives!! Sorry it scared you!!

I used the blue dye ones from Target. I didn't realize they were blue dye, lucky I had a digital, so I quickly took it to see if my 
was true.

@Adira: it really did. I mean, I would've been happy either way but I was surprisingly relieved it wasn't a true bfp. I want to be at my job a bit longer and enjoy the summer with wine and such :). It was a good way to test how I really feel about another baby.

@Smurfette: I made DH run out for a FRER! I'd heard the blue dye tests were bad but I've never had a false + before.

@sslm: I think the control line is so messed up it would raise a red flag for sure. At least it cured you of your baby fever!!

@sslm: sort of? I got a + FRER and bought more tests. I accidentally grabbed the blue dye, and they came back stark negative! I'm almost 29 weeks along..
I dislike the blue dye tests!

@sslm: seriously! Why do they even still sell them? (Aside: I think Target is actually pretty responsible about this stuff - they stopped selling breast milk test strips for alcohol because they are inaccurate. Seems like this would be the same thing.)

I had those from Target too, I saved FRER as a final double check. I had one that was defective (there were no lines, not even the control), but the other showed my and it was later confirmed by the FRER too. Some batches can def be bad though so always back up with FRER!
On the other hand, I used Target OPKs exclusively and they worked totally fine for me.

@sslm: actually, that looks positive to me. FRER said negative? Man, blue dye sucks!
ETA: my reading comprehension sucks. Ignore me. I realized you already said it was positive!

@Mrs. Jump Rope: haha. Yeah I thought for sure it was positive but thought it must be some mistake bc we haven't had any accidents! My sister said "you guys are Ross and Rachel then" lol. I definitely trust the FRER though.

@sslm: FRERs are the way to go. And if you buy them on Amazon they are pretty (relatively) cheap. I am coming up on my POAlltheSs time, so I checked my stash this morning to make sure I didn't need to order more...

I would say call the company and they will probably send you a new box or a coupon for a free box but you might not want more of them... On the other hand, if they will give you a coupon you can usually use them for opks.

@sslm: probably! And a long time ago I've skipped cycles before so it can happen, but I'd be too paranoid after the blue dye test! Why do they make those??
