More than one person has said to me "Oh, she has a tooth now...gues you are going to stop breastfeeding now, right?"
No....no plans to stop here. She's only 5 months old.

People are nuts... They started asking me if I was "still" bfing when she was 1 month!

I never had any problems with biting. It happens but I don't think it's the "rule" but rather the exception.

With my second she just couldn't get the idea of not diting once she had teeth so I went to EPing. I think it completely depends on the baby.

Honestly, before I had a baby, I always thought that would be my limit for BFing, and I probably was just like the people who have asked you that. It totally weirded me out before I had K. So I can understand where that's coming from. Even now, I just hope that K will be a late-teether!

Recently, LO has bit me hard at 8 months old. I made it through 4 teeth before throwing in the towel on bf.

I keep thinking if I had continued I'd be so lucky, LO is toothless at over 7.5 months!! Haha

LO has 6 teeth at 1 year, and we're still going strong. She has only bitten me a few times, but it was before she had any.

I don't think it's a ridiculous question, although maybe a little rude to be so presumptive. My plan is to stop breastfeeding when he gets teeth. I don't think that makes me "nuts."

Ha my MIL totally quit breastfeeding one BIL because he bit her too hard when he got his first tooth.
We've made it through 9 months and 8 teeth so far. I have been bitten...more than once, and more than once I almost quit. I'm determined to make it through to a year.

A family member of mine stopped when her kids got teeth. But with X, he got his first tooth at 4 months. No way was I going to stop then. We had some issues with biting, but I yelled "OUCH!" whenever he bit me hard, and gave him a baby time out (20 seconds on the ground with me totally ignoring him). It curbed the biting really fast and we made it to 12.5 months-- by then he had ALL of his teeth except the 2 year molars.

My mom asked if I had been bitten but I was happy to tell her I hadn't. I don't know why people make your breastfeeding journey their business.

I've nursed both my kids past a year. They bit before they had teeth, they bit while teething, and then they outgrew it. I had that comment from some people too

I went through about 2-3 weeks of "omg I think I'm done this biting thing SUCKS". Thankfully it passed & now we're at 5 teeth & going strong.
It was the worst when he was cutting his two front top teeth.

I will never understand why people are so eager to see babies discontinue breastfeeding.

The funny thing is, she's already a biter. But it hasn't stopped us yet...

I got told that when I mentioned to people that DS had bit me after his first two teeth came in.

i've heard that before i had DD, but now i understand that it works itself out and the mechanics of BFing.
