I took it when DS was 4 months old, supply was tanking (I WOH full time 40+ hours).

- Did you use it in conjunction with herbs like fenugreek, goat's rue, etc.? I drank gallons of Mothers Milk Tea and water

- What dosage did you take? 3 pills 3 times a day, then slowly weaned off

- When did you start seeing results? What did the results look like? Almost immediately output doubled

- Were you able to establish an adequate supply? Yes

- How long did you have to take it? If you stopped taking it, did you maintain your supply? Two months (it was $180 a month)

- Anything else you want to tell me: pump and store like crazy! I got a ton while I was on it and wish I pumped more so that I wasn't stressed at the end (almost a year). It worked great.

I took Motherlove More Milk Plus and drank nursing tea the entire time I was also on Domperidone with both kids.

- What dosage did you take?
I took 2 pills 4 times a day, though I cannot remember the exact mg of the pills, I imagine they are pretty standard?

- When did you start seeing results? What did the results look like?
With my first pregnancy, I saw gradual results but with my second I saw almost immediate results (doubling of total daily output). Because I was taking the herbal supplements AND drinking tea when I started the second time around, I was way too scared to drop anything. Hence the reason I kept going!

- Were you able to establish an adequate supply?
No, sadly. My output was still about 1 oz too little per feed for my babe the second time (about 2.5 oz per feed for my first), so I topped up.

- How long did you have to take it? If you stopped taking it, did you maintain your supply?
I took it until I was done nursing--at about 15-16 months with both kids.

- Anything else you want to tell me
For me, being able to breastfeed at all was HUGELY important. That being said, having to both nurse AND deal with bottles was a giant pain. Sometimes I wish that I had just said enough is enough and exclusively went the formula route, but I really enjoyed nursing.
Oh, and with my first baby, the BF doc I saw also had me pump 15 min/side with each feed for about 4 months. Those were a hard 4 months. Thankfully, my second kid had a way better latch and I didn't have to do that!

No, just took the dom

2 pills 3x a day

It took maybe a day or two? Instead of pumping 2-3oz per session I now pump 5-6. I've been able to drop down to four pumping sessions (I EP) and not have it affect my supply

- Were you able to establish an adequate supply?
It has allowed me to spend much less time on the pump (10 min vs 15) because the milk comes out so much faster. In a day LO gets about 75% expressed milk and 25% formula.

- How long did you have to take it? If you stopped taking it, did you maintain your supply?
I'm currently taking it, but I did stop and take a break due to mastitis and my supply dropped but not back to where it was pre dom.

After a week of taking it I developed mastitis - but it was the perfect storm of the dom, power pumping sessions, and LO beginning to sleep through the night. I stopped taking it for about a month and am now slowly (cautiously) taking it again. Mastitis was the.worst.thing.ever.

Also Dom has allowed my pumping sessions to be shorter and less frequently which has been crucial to my sanity and the reason I am able to continue EPing.

@daniellemybelle: sorry I'm on my phone. I take dom currently. It never boosted my supply to have enough to EBF or EP. But, I have enough supply to nurse exclusively at night (we co-sleep after his first wake-up) and occasionally during the day if I'm not at work. I never could pump to increase supply (pumping after feeds, before feeds, power pumping, exclusively pumping...nothing made a huge difference). But I'm firmly convinced I'd be drier than the Sahara if it wasn't for the dom, so I continue to take it, because I value even just the snippet of nursing relationship we have. Maybe it was meant to be this way, because my work schedule pretty much actively prohibits a regular pumping regimen anyway.
