Mine leaked slowly, but I didn't notice at all and the hospital had to tell me that it was broken. Not much help

Mine started leaking slowly with my first. It was a constant leak though. I can remember we were out to dinner and I told my husband that we would have to go check my fluid levels at the hospital the next day. I was a few days from my due date but he still thought I was overreacting. There is risk of infection even wih a slow leak.

My water ended up breaking over night that night, I got up to go to the bathroom and there was no mistaking it. I was in labor but did not notice the contractions. My doctor wanted the baby delivered within 24 hours of me noticing the leak so they started me on pitocin. My
son was delivered pretty much right at the 24 hour mark and he did not have any issues. They likely would have moved me to a c section if I did not progress.

Hope this helps. It is very hard to tell if it is water or other fluids, mine was just slow and steady so it had me wondering. And clearly it breaking overnigjt confirmed it.

Mine starting leaking at 40+2 just as I was going to bed. It felt like I had peed myself a tiny bit, but it kept happening whenever I moved around, so I figured it was amniotic fluid. I called my midwife and was told that contractions would usually start within 12 hours of the amniotic sac rupturing, so I was supposed to try to sleep through the night and call them back in the morning. I was also told to avoid taking a bath as it could potentially introduce an infection. As it happened, I started having contractions an hour and a half later.

I woke up about 6am and felt a little damper than usual, but not like wet. I also was having some crampy contractions, a little more painful than my nonstop BH contractions. I got up and walked around, noticed a little more wetness, nothing major. I ate some cereal and stood back up and definitely felt more fluid coming out and at that point I thought it was probably my water. If I would sit and then stand back up it would come out more. I also started having hard contractions almost immediately. I called my OB and they had me go into the hospital. I got to the hospital at about 8:30 am and baby was born at 1pm.

I had a slow leak with my first, and a kind of slow leak with my second (it was a little more obvious). I actually went all day with little leaks, and only figured it out because I had a regular check up and mentioned it, so they tested me and it was positive. I wasn’t having contractions, but I had to go get admitted right away and was induced since it had been going on for like 12 hours.

I had a slow leak with my first, enough that I was noticibly wet when I would stand up. But I had also felt a pop when I was laying down right before the leak. I would dry off and change my underwear, then be wet again a few minutes later. Contractions started soon after. The gush came when I was getting my epidural. I had a lot of fluid!

I did notice a lot of discharge after 35 weeks with both my pregnancies. I had to wear panty liners and change them often.

Also, it could just be the baby pressing on something that is making you pee. My doctor warned me about that!

I had a slow leak at 36.5 weeks. I first noticed it a few hours after *enjoying my husband's company*. I didn't think much of it, as I'd always thought that it would be a huge gush if it was broken water. Throughout the next two days, I'd have a little trickle of pinkish fluid here or there, mostly when I sat down or stood up. I thought it was just a weird end of pregnancy thing and didn't really even consider that it was my water. I went into labor about 2 days later, and asked the labor ward to test to see if I was ruptured (and I was). When I told them it had been a few days they immediately put me on pitocin but thankfully, no infection and baby was totally fine.

My thoughts - if you think it even might be, go get checked!
