Is anyone planning on attending a local Latch On event? I'm not even sure what this is, exactly (besides raising BFing awareness), but I think C and I will be going to one of the local "granola" baby stores to participate! They'll be giving a gift to all mamas and one of my favorite local OC kids photographers will be there, doing free 15-minute mini-sessions of nursing mamas!

@Navy_Mommy: If I had known about it sooner I would've gotten with some of our co-op ladies & hosted one.... I don't think a week is long enough to really get one together though.

I was thinking I would not want to do this, but last night I all of a sudden felt like I should go. It is hosted by our LLL and they are doing a family fair thing at our farmers market.
Anyone else participating? I am still not great about nursing in public, but maybe this will help and I want to show my support.

@tlcbaby: Ours is today but its at 9 am and that's during the one decent stretch of sleep C usually gives me. A whopping 2.5 hours, but I take what I can get
I'm trying to decide if its worth it or not.

I wish I could go -- it would be so much fun to bring my nursing 13-mo-old! Sadly have to work today instead.

It was fun! They had a photographer taking nursing photos, I can't wait to see ours. There was a decent turnout too!

I found out 15 minutes before the event that one was taking place just 5 minutes from our house. I could have RUSHED to get ready and get out the door, but D was already latched, and that would have just been mean.
Was sad to miss it!

My local "granola" baby store is holding one as we speak and I wanted to go but I couldn't! They're posting pics to instagram though and it looks like an awesome event. Maybe next year!
