Who else is a member? And how old is your little one?
My son is 1. It doesn't even always work! Half or so the the time I have to bounce him on the exercise ball. Those times it's nurse lying down with him, both sides. Realize he's not going to sleep but it is still super drowsy (he will start deliriously clapping or yelling dada). Bounce him on my lap singing our bedtime songs. Hopefully he's passed out by the 1-2nd song, then I lay him down and nurse him again all the way asleep!
It took him an hour sometimes, but he wasn't crying, just partying and playing. I kind of dread this phase, but it passes and he's a decent sleeper now.
it's actually easier for dh to put her to sleep though--with me she keeps popping up and wanting me to hold her, but when it's time for "dada rock," she lets dh put her in the crib and then he either pats her or sits in the glider next to the crib while she falls asleep. this only really started working in the last month but it's soooo much better than the endless rocking!
