Anyone ever experience BH contractions that are timeable for 2+ hours? I think that's what I've been having, since they don't feel significantly more painful now than they did 2 hours ago...but I didn't think BHs went on this long or were timeable? Any experience?

Yep, I had this when I over did it. Lie down and drink lots of water! Call your ob if it doesn't stop soon.

Mine were about 12-15 min apart every night beginning at 5pm and lasting through the night. This went on for 4 days... It was so mentally exhausting

I've never had bh contractions for that long but I did have early (mostly painless) contractions that lasted almost all day w ds1 and for five hours after my water broke with ds2! Fx it's early labor for you!!!!

@Tidybee: ugh awful. I hate the uncertainty of the last few weeks!@mrsjyw: thanks friend! I think it's just a false alarm but hopefully something happens soon!

Have you tried lying on your side and drinking water? If that doesn't stop them you may want to give your OB a call just in case.

Yes this happened to me twice and I thought I was in labor. I hate the end too. Not knowing is so frustrating. Hopefully it means things pick up and turn "real" soon!

I had a LOT of BH and my OB always said to call if they were painful or timeable

The last two weeks I would go for a long walk in the evening, have timetable BH contractions and go to bed thinking, "I wonder if I will wake up in the middle of the night in labor!" Then morning would come and my alarm would go off and they would be gone....

I had them all. the. time. and they were frequently timable and never truly stopped. I was always told just to take it easy and not worry as long as they weren't significantly painful or accompanied by obvious signs of labor like water breaking. Then I went into labor early and didn't take it seriously because I'd been dismissed so many times. They might have been able to stop it if I'd gone in the night before when I was in (what I now know was) early labor. So... I've got nothing helpful.

Thanks ladies! They ended up staying about the same and I went to bed around 10...had no problem sleeping and they went away overnight, so I guess it was nothinG!

@hilsy85: I'm sorry. The last two weeks was just like that for me. One time they were even pretty painful and we called in laws to tell them it was go time. They booked a flight and were packing and then the contractions stopped. I was so embarrassed I ugly cried for a long time.

For 5 days before LO was born I had painful timable contractions but I was told it was false labor. I couldn't sleep through them though - I'm glad you got rest!

@travellingbee: The first day of my horrible contractions DH took off work to take me to the hospital. I was not dilated even a tiny bit. I felt embarrassed that he had told all his coworkers it was "baby day" and it wasn't! To make matters worse, his boss DID have her baby that day!

That happened to me, and they were actually not very far apart, but I could tell they were bh and not real contractions. I called in because I knew I was supposed to (at the time I think I was 33ish weeks?), but I didn't go in because I knew it would be pointless. They eventually went away overnight.
