My LO is almost 13 months old. Dinner last night went like this. I made shepherds pie thinking there is a lot of options, meat, veggies, mashed potatoes. She has to like something, right? Nope, she didn't want any of it. She lets us know she doesn't like it by throwing it on the floor. Ok, no big deal, I know she loves grilled cheese so I quickly make her a grilled cheese sandwich and cut her up some grapes. All she eats are the grapes.

Breakfast this morning: I make blueberry pancakes knowing that she LOVES blueberries and eggs with cheese in them, my trick for getting her to eat eggs. Apparently she doesn't like cooked blueberries so the pancakes end up on the floor. I make her toast and give her fresh blueberries instead.

I know it will get easier when I can just ask her "What do you want for breakfast?" and she will answer.... but until then do I just have to deal with food on the floor all the time until we figure out what she wants? Saying "No!" firmly doesn't work fyi. Even though she knows what no means, it works for other things very well.
