This is probably a really dumb question but in gonna ask anyway. I checked and twice today I had big globs of EWCM. Ones when I went "digging around" this morning and anther time when I wiped after a BM. Now I'm worried that all my good CM is coming out and being wasted. Is that super dumb? I mean I feel like its dumb but I just wanna ease my dumb brain. Im afraid to dry it all up. Hahaha

I believe you will continue to produce it as long as you are ovulating.

I've heard that the most important bit is actually in the cervix and I can't imagine you wiped that away!

@Snowdrop: well this morning I went looking for it there and found it but then regretted maybe taking all my good CM! Sounds like it should be in good supply though still.

@MrsMccarthy: I usually only have abundant CM for one day and it's usually like 3 days before ovulation, which I find weird! You should BD today, just in case!

I have the same problem! Seems like right before I ovulate I have good cm, but then when I need it, there is none! I have been taking mucinex as my RE told me, but it doesn't help. I'm glad I'm not the only one to wonder about that!

@fotolori1: I think you are meant to have good cm before you ovulate. The days leading up to O are supposed to be your best chances for conceiving. I think that after you O, cm dries up to protect the egg or something like that. Maybe someone more knowledgeable can chime in on this for me.

@fotolori1: she's right! By the time you ovulate your egg is most likely already gone so its pointless to have good CM. good CM will catch the sperm and keep them alive for at least a day and sometimes 4 while they wait to meet the egg. So it sounds like you are okay to me.
