so when LO was born, she loved her hands. I didn't swaddle her because she became so upset, and the second her hands were free again she was calm. She was waking often, though, so one night I threw in the towel and forced her into a swaddle and she sleeps great! At 11 weeks, she's averaging a 7-8 hour stretch (with the exception of a few rough nights from a sick belly).

However, she just (re?) discovered her hands for play and will rub her eyes when she is tired, and in the swing or bouncer she'll rub her face to fall asleep.

Should I stop swaddling now, and deal with the lack of sleep and let her learn to stop waking herself up with her arms? Or stick with a good thing and still swaddle, but have to deal with weaning her later?

I don't know if it'll be worse to wean later or not!
