Today will mark 2 weeks of daycare. Last week she was only there for 2.5 hours a day, and this week she was there for 5.5 hours. DH has been dropping her off, but today i went to do the drop off.
As soon as i took off her snowsuit, she quickly crawled away from me and waited by the gate. When the caregiver came to get her, she looked more than happy to leave me.
Waaah!!
Just kidding, i am happy that she was happy to be there, but a part of me sniffed on the way home.

Aw. I was having a break down to my mom about LO starting day care this week and my mom informed me that soon enough I will have to pry her little hands from the toys in order to make her come home with me and it will break my heart even more than leaving her. But you're right... it's good to know they are happy when they are there!

Yay for her! It gets better...LO sometimes cries when I pick her up because she doesn't want to come home! WHAT!

Such a double edged sword isn't it? You don't want to witness a 'don't leave me' meltdown, but you do want to be missed. What a rollercoaster these little ones are!

Agree with PrettyLizy. My LO still cries when I leave. I always see his face crumbling when I put on my shoes and it's the saddest thing ever. It makes my heart hurt now. But then his daily summary sheets always talks about how he spent the day laughing and rolling around with his friends so I don't think his crying lasts very long.

Aw I know how it is. The daycare teacher was holding him when I was getting ready to leave, I tried to take him to give him a hug and a kiss, he wanted nothing to do with me! He cried and pushed away from me and stopped when she picked him up again. But I would much rather have that than him crying because I was leaving.
