So at almost 2 years old, my daughter now refuses to sleep in her bed. This has been going on for a month, she throws the hugest fit if we try to get her to lay down in there or get up to leave once she's (we think) asleep. She's been sleeping on our living room floor or the couch for the last month or so. Lately she's been needing to fall asleep ON TOP of me like she did as a baby.

Is this normal to have a big regression, could it be her knowing a baby is coming? I really don't want to create bad habits especially before we throw a newborn in the mix in the spring but DH and I are exhausted and are tired of fighting with her for 2+ hours at night to fall asleep so if she will sleep on me then okay at lest she's sleeping. I know this isn't a very good mindset. Suggestion welcome on how to get her back in her big girl bed and back to sleep at a decent time.

For reference: her regular bedtime is 8 pm, lately she's been up until at least 9:30 fighting it and exhausted and will say over and over "I sleepy, I tired." but continues to fight falling asleep. She's wakes up around 6:30-7. And naps are hit and miss at daycare lately.
