Did your LO have a rough transition to daycare?
I'm having a really rough week at work and DH just told me he got offered a really great job (he had been staying at home with LO/ consulting). LO is six months old and I think the socialization will be good but otherwise I am f-r-e-a-k-I-n-g out about all these major changes and worried about how E will adjust to not being home everyday.

R started at 12 weeks and adjusted fine. Kids adjust easier then we give then credit for.

@MrsH: M started daycare at 6.5 months and it was a really smooth transition. It was nice that she was sitting up unassisted so she could play with the other babies. It was also before separation/stranger anxiety. She's 11 months now and has never once cried at drop off. She actually starts smiling and clapping when DH carries her into the building. She did get sick a lot at first, but now seems like a good time of year to start (vs cold & flu season).

Well, we started much later (age 2) and we had a LONG drawn out transition, it didn't go so fantastically, but a lot of it had to do with the fact that my son never had to sleep in a room with other kids. He cried at drop off and pick up for a year and a half!

@MrsH: We just started our little guy in daycare 2.5 weeks ago. He was 7 months. He wailed that first day because who wouldn't? He had been with his mom and dad for all of those months, and now we hand him off to a nice woman and say goodbye! I bawled too... But each day, it has gotten a bit better. We got hit hard with sickness in the first two weeks. Every one of us. So even though it's not cold and flu season - it's still a little germ explosion factory. Wash your hands. And just know it's going to happen. E will adjust, you all will, and you'll settle in to your new normal. And congrats to your husband on the job!

My DD is almost 8 mos and she loves daycare. She loves interacting with the other kids and is always happy when I pick her up 
As most people say it's tougher on you than it is on the LO's and although it kind of annoyed me I think it was totally true!

We started at 13 months and she was fine. She's happy to go in the morning, and happy to leave at night. I think she cried once.
