@mrskansas: is that early for you? Just curious if you are seeing a change. I'm only a week in but hoping for something!

  6. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@bhbee: today is CD 19 so yes, it is early for me! And this is a stronger positive than I normally get.

Not sure if it's the supplements or something else, but it couldn't have hurt!

How is everyone else doing? It's been quiet lately.

  8. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@mrskansas: definitely quiet! I am waiting around for my last two cycles and seeing what happens. I'm past the stage of hopeful but not yet despondent about ending with nothing so I'm in between venting stages Also just focused elsewhere which is nice.

Tomorrow was going to be the DD of my first loss (January this year). I was hoping to be pregnant by now, but AF arrived again today. I'm a little surprised by how ok I am with it. Mostly just annoyed how my long cycles (average 37 days) hinder TTC.

    @mrskansas: Good luck with BD!

@Raspberry: Long cycles suck! I've always had 35+ day cycles and ugh they are draining.

Ladies I had kind of a moment today. I realized my period was finally back to more normal for me (i.e. not a bloodbath) - maybe time, maybe something else. I've also felt really together - getting up early so having longer days to do stuff, eating well and doing meal prep, getting more exercise walking dd to and from kinder. And my heart just said to me, now we are ready for a baby.

This week has made me really appreciate my kids, we're so excited to pick up dd from kinder and I'm also loving 1-1 time with ds which I haven't had much in a while. Aaaaaand they keep talking about having a new baby.

So maybe my body could get it together this time! I'm not really more helpful but it feels like timing is good. I think at least some of my window for bd will be over Labor Day weekend which would be nice.

@bhbee: That's amazing, I'm so happy that you're feeling positive. I'm super hopeful that everything will fall into place for you!

I am a little freaked out. I feel like I am going to wind up pregnant. Obviously the chance is small and given my history I don't expect much-- but I just have a feeling.

If it did happen, I will find out the day after my husband leaves for a 10 day trip and while he's gone I won't have any way to contact him. I guess I could always test early but with all the chemicals I've had, I just can't do it anymore. I'm getting way ahead of myself here since the chance is slim.. but I still have that "feeling" so I'm trying to prepare.

@mrskansas: I understand your feelings since you've had so many positives! Never hurts to mentally prepare ... but I hope the eclipse brings you luck and sticky dust

For myself I am, today at least, also feeling like it will be ok without a baby too.

@bhbee: I joked with my husband that we were going to conceive an eclipse baby and name them Luna. Neither is funny now
I really did not expect to be ovulating anytime soon after all the IUD drama but oh well.

@mrskansas: I'm sorry, I will be thinking of you and sending lots of good vibes for calm and peace during the TWW (I know, easier said than done). Maybe that sweet little onesie you picked up will be getting some use soon after all

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@periwinklebee: Thank you I'm probably 1 DPO now and I feel at peace. I'm not counting on anything happening and I have a lot going on over the next 2 weeks to distract me, thank goodness!

@periwinklebee: How are you & your little bump doing?

  20. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@mrskansas: Thank you I'm loving that I'm finally to the part of pregnancy that actually feels more like pregnancy - with some tiny movements and a bump - instead of just feeling like the flu. It's pretty awesome We had our anatomy scan last week, and thankfully everything looks great. After multiple losses, it was almost hard to believe that everything could be normal - like, I think I'd convinced myself that my body didn't do healthy pregnancy just to lower my expectations - I had to pinch myself to believe its real. Now I can transition from worrying about the anatomy scan to worrying about pre-term labor, ha hah, there's always something, but I'm also trying to just enjoy the moment and soak up what I love about pregnancy, since who knows whether I'll have a chance to be pregnant again in the future.

I hope you have a good weekend!

@periwinklebee: I'm glad you are enjoying it now! The second half of pregnancy is definitely the best.
You have a great weekend too!

I'm only 3/4 DPO but I'm already feeling anxious. I would love to say that I'm not going to test until my period is late but I know I'll go all poas crazy at 8 dpo.

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@mrskansas: hugs lady I have a feeling this tww is going to be hard for me too! (And I'm not even close to it yet!) My only saving grace will be my questionable Wondfos

  24. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@bhbee: Do you have the batch or lot number from those? Wondfos are the only tests I have and I really don't want to get any false positives!

  25. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@mrskansas: here you go. They just give bad evaps, which sucks since I often test if I wake up early and go back to bed and look later.

  26. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@bhbee: Those are 1 number off from my batch. I took one this morning.. only for research, not because I'm crazy
Although I do feel crazy for looking for a line even though I'm like 5 dpo

  27. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@mrskansas: research, of course!! sending you good thoughts for getting through this week!

  28. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@bhbee: Thanks, I definitely need some sanity!

Usually my husband doesn't want me to test at all and to just wait & see if my period is late, but this time he's begging me to do it early. He leaves next Wednesday and will be out of town with no cell service for 2 weeks. Part of me wants to test early and just not tell him, especially if it's positive. I don't want him to worry about it for that long.

  29. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@mrskansas: ugh, that sucks about his schedule.

Try to do something little everyday between now and when you can test to pamper yourself. I'll be thinking of you and hoping the next week flies by.

My brother's baby is coming today! I started crying thinking about it. I think it's just excitement and general baby love. Hoping I don't get sad about what might have been - I have to go get their 2yo from daycare so the kids should keep me distracted. I'm interested to see if holding the newborn makes me more interested in extending our ttc period!

  31. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

@bhbee: That's exciting! I hope it goes well for your SIL.

I know how tough it can be though.. thinking of you!

  32. periwinklebee

@bhbee: Exciting! But I also know it can be tough I hope you get some sweet baby snuggles and that it's not too bittersweet.

7 DPO today... really trying to stay sane.
Luckily the next few days will be busy so I can stay distracted.. but I know I'm still going to start testing tomorrow!

  34. bhbee

    cantaloupe / 6086 posts

@mrskansas: that's what cheapies are for!

So today I had two 2yos and a 5yo and while a bit crazy it made me realize that 3 kids is really fun and most of all, I love how my big girl interacts with the little ones. I want to give her a baby as much as myself I am really hoping one of the next two months works and I don't need to figure out what's next. I'm taking them all to see the baby tomorrow and so far I feel nothing but happiness. I think it helps that I'm a few days before ovulation and have hope for this cycle!

  35. periwinklebee

    grapefruit / 4466 posts

@mrskansas: Fingers crossed for you (though i am pretty sure i would never have anything show up at 8dpo, or even close!)

@bhbee: Sounds like a crazy but fun day! That's so sweet about your daughter. My brother and I have a six year age gap and I loved being a big sister so much. I hope so much that things work out soon so you don't have to reevaluate your timeline, but if not that life gives all the clarity that you need .

Possible squinters/evap lines on a wondfo and FRER this morning. 8 dpo is sooo early so I'm thinking I was seeing things.

  37. mrskansas

    nectarine / 2813 posts

They stopped selling the curved FRERs and the flat ones have a white line that immediately shows up and then it turns gray. So weird.

@mrskansas: that is weird about the frer! I'm excited to see your tests this weekend

For today I guess I am pregnant. They are so faint but I suppose that's normal for 9 dpo
Eta: i can't see it on the FRER here
