I was always indifferent, but wanted kids by 25.. We weren't married at the time and he wasn't even close. Last year we spoke about it (2 years into marriage) and he agreed to try "next year" (2013). At the beginning of this year I chatted with him about it and he felt we still weren't ready - financially and otherwise. I told him you're never truly "ready" and he needed to make up his mind or I actually wasn't going to have any kids (my own choice of not wanting to have kids later on - everyone wants different things!) and he finally decided let's do it!

We had slightly different timelines. We agreed before we got married that we would wait about 2 years, based on our age, finances, emotional readiness, etc. We had been together for about 7 years before we got married. After a year and change, I was ready to start trying, but DH stuck with the agreed 2 years timeline, and ultimately, I think it's really important that both partners be totally on board. So we went with the later one (which, to be perfectly fair, I agreed to!) and started trying a month or so before our 2 year anniversary. LO will be born less than 3 months before our 3rd anniversary.

One thing that helped me while we were waiting was doing what I could to prepare my body-- I went off the pill a few months before, starting tracking ovulation, taking my prenatals... I felt like at least I was doing *something*.

We got married in August 2010 and w knew we'd want to married a bit before kids. In Nov 2010 my best friend got engaged and asked me to be her Moh and my hubs to be a groomsman, her wedding was planned for Oct 2012. We said ok well we're not going to be ready to have a baby before the wedding and i didnt want to be pregnant for the wedding. so TTC was planned for after their wedding.

I'm on a few potent medications to control psoriasis one of them i had to stop taking 6 months before ttc so March 2012 we discussed kids and TTC and the plan was still a go. I stopped taking Med #1 that month. In August 2012 I had a visit scheduled with my derm and told her my plans and she had me come off med #2. Later that week Hubs was laid off from his job, so TTC was tabled. Luckily he got a job offer in late October and started in November. He wanted to be more settled in his job before TTC but we both knew that with winter coming it was only a matter of time before my skin got worse with out the meds so Nov was our first cycle TTC.
