@MrsCastro: I wake up several times every night/early morning, you can't temp accurately under those conditions, so no, i don't temp either.

@MrsCastro: nah, I kinda overslept this morning... I was more focused on getting out the door than POAS. Maybe tomorrow

Hey guys, I'm out for July. I was diagnosed with pcos and have some decisions to make. Since I've been bleeding for over 2 months my dr perscribed a medication that will make me have a real period in hopes to jump start my cycle. I also now have to decide whether I want to go to a fertility specialist or not. I will come back with updates once I have them but in the meanwhile wanted to share the sad news

@Modern Daisy: oh bless your heart!! I am so sorry you have to go through this. Please keep us updated. Big hugs to you. Wishing you a quick and smooth resolution to a BFP.

@dharmainitiative: Perhaps it's early for the test to detect anything?

@Modern Daisy: I am so sorry. That's terrible! Good luck making those decisions.

@dharmainitiative: Bummer. You never know until you know! I've seen other people have a dip before their chart goes triphasic, so don't give up yet!

@Modern Daisy: I'm so sorry to hear that. But, you do have a diagnosis, which is the first step. Good luck with whatever you choose to do.

@Modern Daisy: I'm sorry, that's really tough. On the bright side, with a diagnosis you can now look towards treatment!! I hope to see you back here really soon!

@alison206, @Alivoo01,&@MrsBlue: It is very possible that it's too early. I just cross posted on the charters thread, but it is very possibly that I am 9 DPO or 11 DPO on my incredibly unclear chart.
@Modern Daisy: I am so sorry about the diagnosis. I was just diagnosed, as well. We haven't been trying for a year yet, so I am going to try Vitex and Metformin, and considering seeing an OB/GYN about it. I had really low estrogen. =( Hugs to you. Try to see it as a blessing =)
@Mrs. Blue: My chart is like quadphasic hahah I have 4 major dips and not very high post-O temps, so it makes things very hard to read. Thank you for the encouraging words!!!!!

@Modern Daisy: Sending big hugs to you, my dear. We're always here for you!

sorry for the lapse, gals. I just got back from a 8 day work trip where I figured out this cycle was a BFN. Sad face, but we're ready for cycle #2 and I've been a charting machine! I'll definitely be on the August POAS thread....and rooting for my July gals until then.

Sending lots of love and baby dust,

    Sylvie

@dharmainitiative: Hang in there! Could still to early to test. @sylvie_b: Sorry!! Hope #2 is your lucky one!

@Modern Daisy: Sorry to hear this. Please do keep us updated about treatment. I've heard many a quick PCOS success stories, better now that you have a solid diagnosis and can work from there.
@Sylvie_b: sorry you're out Glad you're focusing on the round 2!

Well I broke down and tested this am and it was a bfn. Not charting but I think I'm about 11dpo. AF is due in the next 2-4 days. Reminding myself it was only the first cycle and that this means another month of accrued leave in the long run. Still a hard pill of to swallow when you're thinking "Wait, I timed everything right!" I guess the whole process also forces a little more PATIENCE, which again, is needed in the long run! Good luck to everyone still hanging in there this month, see you on the August board!

@savanarunner: 11 DPO is still pretty early to be able to detect the HCG hormones so don't beat yourself up too badly just yet. We can all relate in the disappointment in seeing the darn stark white with a single line staring back at us! Hang in there, we're all with you!

Thanks everyone for your kind words. It really makes me feel a lot better to read all of the encouragement on this board. As upsetting as it is to be diagnosed with PCOS, I do see it as a positive that I actually have a diagnosis and can now move forward with specific fertility treatments. I am going to make an appointment with a specialist, but still not sure exactly what I'll do at this time. We are still technically NTNT since we were trying to build up our savings first before actually TTC so the thought of helping it along with treatment feels a little too soon. I will definitely be back with updates though!

I will still be a regular here and I wish you all the best of luck and BFP's!!!

@savanarunner: @sylvie_b: I wrote a whole post on the blog about first cycle excitement and disappointment! It's hard to not get your hopes really high the first cycle, and as ridiculous as it was, I couldn't help but think, "What if we have problems?!?" when i got a BFN. However, Cycle 2 seems to have me in a little more realistic place mentally. Sorry you're out Sylvie_b! And, Savanarunner, 11 DPO is still pretty early! A lot of people don't get BFPs until a few days later!

    @Modern Daisy: So sorry dear!

Well, I got AF on CD28! I had a real cycle for the first time in 5 months!!!
So I am on CD1 as of today. I'm very excited to see some normalcy. I am having a thyroid check done for my follow up appt next Monday. I'm hopeful it will be all good results and maybe we won't need the SA or the Clomid!

@Modern Daisy: I'm sorry about your diagnosis, but at least you know what's going on now! My best friend has PCOS and she was able to get pregnant and has a healthy 3 year old now, so hopefully you'll have just as good luck!

@alivooo1 thanks! the pesky little test strips told me I could start at 11dpo... I was really trying to hold out until Monday! I won't give up all hope just yetl

@mrs.blue I read that and totally relate! I've really enjoyed following your blog and board posts. My fingers are crossed that cycle 2 is the one for you!

BTW I forgot to mention that we pulled the goalie on Independence Day. HA! I couldn't help but laugh about that and had nobody to share it with until now

  37. Adira

    wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts

@Beetones: I agree with @MrsCastro that it might be too early still! You could implant later in your LP, so there wouldn't be enough HCG to be detected. When is Diablo due?
