@leialou: thanks so much! I'm still in a bit of shock. over three months of trying, it feels like nothing goes fast enough - but now all of a sudden, it feels like it all happened so soon!

Well, AF just showed up. I'm actually okay with this because it was my first cycle off the pill and I'm just happy it didn't last months and months. It lasted 44 days and I got a positive OPK on CD 34. It would've been nice to get a BFP this cycle, but I definitely wasn't expecting it so soon. I'm just happy my body seems to be doing what its supposed to be doing! Onto cycle 2!
Good luck to all you other ladies, I'll keep checking back in

Congrats to all the bfp ladies!
I'm at cd15. I think I have either o'd or are in the process of it now. So lots of bd'ing! I have had some kind of a bug the last few days so I am not feeling too hopeful.

So sorry to all the ladies who are out this month
I'm 5dpo today and trying to stick to my guns about not obsessing this cycle. My LP was really short last month, 10 days, (it was my first official cycle) so I'm really hoping it'll be longer this month. I'm taking B6 but really only started the other day so I'm not sure if it'll have any affect on this cycle.
Of course I'd love to be pregnant this cycle, but if I have a longer LP then I will be happy!
Anyone still in?

@arielle9510: I'm still in! I got a BFN yesterday at 11DPO, but my temps are still up this morning, no spotting at 12DPO (unlike last month), so I'm still optimistic! I'm not going to test again unless I'm late which would be Tuesday. Keeping fingers crossed! If things don't go our way this month we're starting with all the fertility junk so I'm hoping this is our month!!
Good luck with lengthening your LP this month. But I'll still keep my fingers crossed for a BFP for you, too!

Good luck to everyone for next month!!

@greenthumb: Oh all my fingers are crossed for you! Your high temps seem promising!
Meanwhile I had some light brown spotting in my underwear today, which also happened last month, so I'm freaking out that AF is already coming. So much for a longer LP...oy

I'm still in! POAS March 26, as long as AF hasn't showed up by then. I have a pretty standard 12 day LP, so we'll see how things go.

I'm feeling optimistic, so I'm going to test again tomorrow (14PDO). Today marks the longest my cycle has been since I came off BC in August. I'm on CD28, 13DPO and I've never had a cycle longer than 27 days (7 full cycles, this is the 8th and almost half were shorter ~24/25/26). This month has also been different because I O'ed at CD 15 (again the latest ever in my cycle, usually ~CD13/14). Also, last couple of months I've spotted for a day or two before AF, but this month NOTHING so far!! No particular symptoms, but my temps are still high (this is my first month charting). It killed me not to test this morning, but I know its better to try and be patient. Can you tell I'm getting excited?!

@GreenThumb: Good luck!!! I also never had a late period until I was actually pregnant. I also had NO symptoms leading up to the BFP, which made me think I must have not ovulated this time. Guess I was wrong about that

@GreenThumb: that sounds super promising! the day i got my bfp, i realized I wasn't spotting like normal and didn't have too many symptoms - just sore bbs like always..... GOOD LUCK!

I got a BFP this morning! Very nervous since I miscarried at 4.5 weeks last time. I had my hcg checked this morning and will got back again Wed to make sure it's doubling as it should. Trying to stay positive and optomistic, but definitely very nervous. Really praying this sticks and we get a Thanksgiving baby.

@MamaMoose: Congrats! Yay! We will be so close in due date! I am also nervous after having a MC last time at 12 weeks, but trying to take it one day at a time!

@greenthumb: ooh I'm getting excited for you!
@mamamoose: congrats!
6DPO today and so far today the spotting has stopped. Hopefully it was a fluke or maybe implantation. If I have another short LP, I'm going to call my dr.

7 DPO today and woke up with a lot of brown spotting and now I have AF cramps, but my temp went up a bit. I was really hoping my LP would be longer this month, but I guess not. I'm going to call my Dr. this week because 30 days to O and then 9 to get AF is getting old fast!

Alright ladies, 14DPO, I'm now TWO days late and still no signs of AF, but also no BFP! Tested this morning and got a BFN. How long am I going to have to wait? Temps still up. Getting frustrated! Going to acupuncture this afternoon, so we'll see what she thinks. Is my cycle just lengthening or is something else going on? This is just weird!

@MamaMoose: Congrats! Hoping this is your sticky baby!

@MamaMoose: Yay, congrats!!
@GreenThumb: High temps sound good, even if no BFP! What kind of test are you using? Maybe the test isn't super highly sensitive? Hopefully you get an answer soon!
Even though I was going to wait a couple more days to test, my Wondfos came in the mail yesterday so of course I tested yesterday evening and this morning. Both BFNs. My temp went down a little this morning too and now I'm cramping so I think this month is another no-go.

@GreenThumb: Use First Response Early Result, if you aren't doing so already!

@highwire: @twodoghouse: Yup, I'm using the FRER! I guess I'm just going to have to wait it out a little more ;).

Well unfortunately, I'm out. I guess my longer cycle this month was due to acupuncture (which really is a good thing overall), but it sure made this girl a little too hopeful this month. So, on to some fertility testing... I'm scheduling an HSG for myself and a SA for DH today. Bummer!
wonderful pomelo / 30692 posts
@GreenThumb: Awww, bummer! So sorry to hear that. Good luck with your testing.
honeydew / 7230 posts
@GreenThumb: Oh darn! I'm sorry to hear that. I think today will be CD1 for me too. Still waiting for AF to actually start but my temp keeps dropping and I feel like I'm going to start any minute.
Are you having a regular ob/gyn do your HSG and DH's SA or do you see an RE? I am wondering what our next steps should be. My husband says I just need to stay patient, but after 13 cycles I am DONE being patient!
pear / 1986 posts
@twodoghouse: Thanks! Sorry to hear that you might be out for this month, too.
In terms of the HSG, DH and I met with my regular GYN for a consult last week. He mentioned two approaches: 1. If knew that we never wanted to try things like IUI or IVF, we would continue to see him, have the HSG and just try drug interventions like Clomid, or 2. If we did want to think about those more rigorous interventions, I would have the HSG and then schedule an appt. with the RE to go over the results. Basically he left it up to us on how to proceed. I am going to ask about going on Clomid starting this cycle, have the HSG, see what DH's test results reveal, and then schedule my follow-up with the RE since we would at least consider those other interventions and I want to get all the info possible. In terms of DH's side of things, when we saw my GYN, he had his nurse put the order in for the SA at the RE's office (they are both under the same University Health group). We did't need to have an actual appt. with the RE for that and my GYN or the RE can review the results. Also, this was all recommended because I pretty much have regular cycles and have solid signs of ovulation (+OPKs, EWCM every month, tender breasts after ovulation) so he didn't need to start out with blood work to check on my ability to ovulate. I'm sure the recommendations would be different if that weren't the case.
It is tough to be patient (heck, we've only just finished cycle 8 ourselves), but both DH and I agree that if there is a problem, it is better for us to find out earlier and see if we can "fix" it, rather than continuing to try in vain. I'm going to be 34 next week (yikes) and DH is 37. Not over the hill, clearly, but we also planned on having more than one child and I know it will only get more difficult as time marches on! When I saw my GYN for my yearly back in Nov, he said to come back in 6 months if we didn't have any luck. I know that 12 months is the typical trial period, but I was happy he was suggesting a more proactive approach. And since you are past the 12 month mark, it seems like it is time to take a closer look. I think it is tougher for men because they don't want to think that they have anything wrong with them. But in fact, it is easier to "fix" the male issues than the female ones, so I'm secretly hoping it is DH and not me (that is if they can find a problem at all).
All the best to you! I'll update on the results of our testing soon.

@MamaMoose: Congrats!!!!!
@GreenThumb: Sorry you are out of this month. I hope for you that if something is found to be an issue it can be quickly corrected so you can finally get that BFP that you deserve!!
