Hi, me again with another sleep post!
My son is 7.5 months. He got sick about 10 days ago (only for a couple days) and his sleep has sucked since! We didn't do anything out of the ordinary while he was sick (stuck to the routine, no bad habits), in fact, he slept MORE than normal, and slept through the night one night while sick. (He had a stomach bug and couldn't keep more than an ounce or two down at a time, it was awful).
Now, it's like we are in the 4 month regression all over again. He cries a lot when we put him down (he was just playing around until he fell asleep before this), wakes up multiple times a night (we were down to 2 or less), and his naps are 30 min again except for maybe one longer nap. What the heck is going on? Do we need to do CIO for MOTN wake ups? That is my only idea and I really don't want to!
Any ideas or help is greatly appreciated!
PS: before he got sick, he had a break through with a lot of new skills. He's going from laying to sitting and is pulling up to standing. He HAS learned to lay back down from those positions, I've watched him do it on the monitor after I put him down for a nap/bed or when he wakes up. Not sure if that makes a difference.
