@jedeve: That sounds like a great situation to have a second baby, not an embarrassment to have a surprise baby!

It'll be ok! I got BFp when ds was 9 months. Total shock! Congrats. I'm super excited about having the two so close.

Awww! It sounds like you're in a great position to have another. And they will be super buds. Congrats!!

It'll be alright. And as for the drinking, I drank early on in my pregnancy with Ellie because I had taken loads of tests and all came back negative so I thought I was safe. My BFP was SUPER late, and I was terrified about having had alcohol once I found out I was pregnant. But she was just fine. I had had about the same amount on the one night I drank (3 drinks). It's true that seeing them learn from the older sibling and watching that relationship develop is really gratifying. Congratulations! And I hope you are feeling good enough to "enjoy" Thanksgiving.

I can totally understand how you might be feeling shocked and overwhelmed but I agree with the other ladies, try to remember that it will all work out in the end!
Hope you're feeling well and definitely pig out on Thanksgiving.

It's okay ! Congratulations! Don't worry about the folic acid or wine...everything will work out beautifully.
My #1 was a surprise so I wasn't taking anything before I got pregnant either...I also got wasted two days before my BFP. My daughter is totally healthy and amazing and beautiful!

My LO was a surprise too and I definitely drank and did not realize I was pregnant until I was about 6 weeks and LO is perfectly fine.

wow, congrats! i got my second BFP when my LO was 7 months, so I totally get the shock, even though we purposely weren't using any BC.
hopefully you get to find out sooner rather than later how far along you are!

Congrats!! I had the same story with this pregnancy, but LO was 12 mo when I found out! I really thought I was being paranoid when I took my test and was totally floored that it was positive.

Congrats!!

Just saw your "oops" baby comment. To make you feel better, I'm 32 and have an MD. We vacationed right before I found out and totally drank cocktails on the trip. Happens to everyone and seems more common with kiddo #2

Congratulations! I know someone who didn't know she was pregnant (also breast feeding) until she was 5 months along. I'm sure everything is fine.

Oh wow!! Congrats totally lol-ing at your 'Oops baby' comment. You'll be ok!!

First, congrats!!! I would be freak in out if O were in your shoes, so I think it is understandable, and frankly, that feelin may last awhile. But, eventually, I'm sure you'll feel like this was the perfect way for things to play out. Having LOs be close in age will be busy, but very fun! Take a deep breath, and then have fun loadin up on carbs at Thanksgiving (breads, potatoes, pasta, etc. were the most morning-sickness friendly food for me!)

@Mrs. Blue: at least they are full of folic acid!!
I had just gotten back in my prepregnancy jeans too!

Omg, congrats mama! My heart was beating as I opened this thread! For the first time this week (after one of my BFFs had her son) I was feeling like, maybe I could do this again soon.
Everything will be great, you can start prenatals now and get to a doc. Let us know what the test with the weeks says! I haven't had a period since March 2012 either!

Oh how awesome! Congratulations to you & uour family. You will have to keep us all updated!

Congratulations on your surprise baby! I could've almost written your post last month. I started feeling nauseous and poas on a whim and found out that I was pregnant and only 4 mo postpartum! After I got over the initial shock, I am very excited and looking forward to my babies being so close in age. I am sure the same will be true for you.

Wow, congrats!!! Just breathe mama, it will all be fine! There are loads of mamas here with two under two (I'll be one myself as of Feb) and you know you'll get amazing support and advice whenever you need it!

Congrats! While it's a surprise, you are going to rock this!

@jedeve: congrats! You shouldn't be embarrassed at all!I would think you wouldn't be more than 6 or 7 weeks if you're just starting to feel sick. Oh, and I only felt better when I stayed full, so maybe that will help get you through thanksgiving.
Sidenote: Maybe you felt so awful after the wine because you were preggo?
bananas / 9118 posts
Aww , hugs- it doesn't feel that great now, but congrats anyway! That's probably one reason why we have 9ish months to wrap our brains around everything!
Actually I don't think your LO being 10 months old is a bad age at all- pretty soon, if not already they'll be walking and that's what really made me feel like I was getting things together. With walking comes better sleep and a little less neediness. Hang in there mama! You aren't the first to have an unplanned LO, and you certainly won't be the last!
