Has anyone else been unable to double pump because your nipples don't cooperate? My flat nipple will kind of drag downward along the side of the flange and ends up with blood blisters. I've tried different sized flanges (including Pumpin Pals). I've tried a hands-free bra to position it. I've used both a Lactina and an Ameda Purely Yours. Not only does it not pull on that one nipple correctly, but I just don't seem to get as much output when I double pump (contrary to what I've read I should expect!), so I don't really save that much time.

I exclusively pump, but I've gone back to just using my single Medela Swing. It takes forever. I feel backward. But I can't risk getting blisters again, and at least my output is pretty good. I guess something about single pumping while carefully positioning the flange / massaging my breast keeps everything where it should be, although I swear that I've tried to do that with a double pump but it just doesn't seem to work.

If there's some trick I haven't tried, I'd love to hear it. It's going to be a long road ahead. I keep wondering if maybe I should try a PISA, but I don't want to spend the money only to find out that I have the same problem.
