Do your girls produce unevenly? The side usually produces an ounce more per session, even though I switch sides when nursing, and either pump both sides at the same time (at work) or just pump the right side (at night).
Just wondering how normal this is.

Yep. My right side always produces more than my left by an ounce or two. I switch sides for each feeding too.

My right usually produced a little more than my left. It was strange, b/c LO seemed to prefer the left.

I can't remember which one but one produced more. I think my left. At the end it was a dramatic difference!

I exclusively pump and my right side always produces a good bit more. During the day usually 1.5-2oz more and at night sometimes it can be a 3oz+ difference.

I was told the majority of women have a "stud" and a "dud" when it comes to production. I definitely did!

My right always produces more!! But LO prefers to nurse on my left side? weird!

It's even obvious without seeing the output...this morning, for instance, I nursed her from both sides, but the left side was last. Half an hour before I could take a pump break the right side was slightly hard, but the left side was almost like a rock and starting to ache! The left side also lets down pretty much immediately, and the right side takes a little longer to get going.

@lovehoneybee: I'm the odd man out here but lefty is the big producer over here. Ha! Like you said, it was even obvious before seeing the actual output. My left breast has always been a little larger--but now (we're nursing once a day and DD is 13.5 months old) it's much more pronounced.

Yup! My left boob produced more than my right, which is weird since my right boob is bigger. Ha!

@mfa_lady: me too!! My left produced way more and was obviously bigger. No matter how hard I tried to make the right produce more it just wouldn't.

yes! my left side produces like 1-1.5oz more each time! It's crazy --- the baby favors this side too...

@Alivoo01: My left boob is normally bigger but my right side was the better producer! Seems backwards (even though I know size has nothing to do with production).

@AB810: That totally could be! Also LO just seems to find her comfy spot easier on the left side!
