hi ladies,
I am getting ready to embark on my first round of IVF, but I don't have a diagnosis other than unexplained -- frustrating. The doc has looked into everything, but to the extent anything is found, he's indicated it is so mild that it's not contributing to our issues.
My questions are:
- With unexplained, does IVF often work on the first try? I am in the under 35 category. Any personal experiences you could share? how did you temper your optimism with the reality that IVF doesn't always work the first time?
- If you're lucky enough to have sufficient eggs retrieved and fertilized, do you generally transfer one or two?
I'm waivering between great optimism and total fear -- so any thoughts on this issue are appreciated. Thanks so much!!!
Good luck to you and keep us posted!
Things often can move pretty quickly, once all of your testing is done. Feel free to join us over on the weekly IF Check- In board or the (extremely long) IVF board any time!
