So our in home daycare director spoke with my dh today. When I dropped off dd she was inconsolable. She was happy as can be when we're going to daycare, smiling laughing talking and when she realize we were in front of the building she would start to whine. Then when we got to the daycare door she started to wail. She was clinging to me and I didn't know what to do. The daycare director took her and was going to give her a bottle but she just cried and cried. I told her I was leaving because she asked me to start doing drop and runs ( this is when dd started to hate coming to daycare).

When I dh picked her up she said that if A doesn't settle down in two weeks she will not be allowed back. Dh was upset when he heard this. She said that dd monopolizes the helper and screams when other children go near her. (dd is 11 months).

Has anyone ever experienced this? What did you do to help your LO feel comfortable at daycare? I have not been able to ask the director about play dates with the other children as yet. She goes part time on Tuesday's and Wednesday's. Please help!
